Sinopse

A comedy in two acts in the style of the Marquis de Sade."The Disadvantages of Lack of Manners is about how people who appear to be very honorable and moral can harbor great immorality in their souls without even realizing it.An old man's attempt to seduce a young girl he has his eyes on is an event that has happened all over the world at every moment in history. For the first time, Bedrettin brings this seduction to the theater stage in the way it deserves. The second part of the book contains the text of the play "The Discussion between an Atheist and a Priest", which is adapted from the first chapter "Preamble" of Bedrettin Simsek's published work "The New Divine Comedy".

How can we interpret the work of contemporary artists? Focal Points is a new book series of essays, articles and reviews by acclaimed curator and critic Robert Storr. Expertly edited by art historian and curator Francesca Pietropaolo, and richly illustrated, it lends Storr’s illuminating insights into an artist’s practice and way of thinking across recent decades. Brilliantly scholarly, accessible and engaging, Focal Points offers fresh interpretations of the varied territory of modern and contemporary art.????Through a selection of texts spanning from 1986 to 2016, volume one brings together thirty years of Storr’s writings on American artist Bruce Nauman (b.1941) whose practice encompasses sculpture, photography, neon, drawing, printmaking and performance. Much of Nauman’s work makes use of language games and visual puns, influenced by the linguistic theories of twentieth-century thinker Ludwig Wittgenstein and by the work of writer, poet and playwright Samuel Beckett. Describing his work in 1970, Nauman said: ‘Sometimes the activity involves making something, and sometimes the activity is the piece.’

Procreate Landscapes on the iPad explains how to use this ingenious package to paint powerful landscapes at the press of the Apple pencil. By breaking down painting a landscape into different steps, it shows how Procreate can help an artist find their direction and try new techniques to create more expressive work. Referencing the work of Masters throughout, Philip Tyler shows how digital painting follows a long tradition of artists observing and interpreting the landscape, and how you can effectively use Procreate to develop your own ideas.

At its core, sustainability strives for harmony between the environment, society, and economy, ensuring that each of these areas is addressed in ways that do not compromise the others.

In the environmental context, sustainability involves careful management of natural resources to ensure that ecosystems remain viable for generations to come. This includes minimizing waste, reducing pollution, and encouraging the responsible use of land, water, and energy resources. Rather than overexploiting resources for short-term gain, sustainable practices aim to maintain or restore the natural balance, ensuring that the resources will continue to be available and capable of supporting life in the future.

Economically, sustainability promotes the efficient use of resources to create systems that are resilient and able to support long-term prosperity. It encourages businesses and industries to integrate environmental and social considerations into their financial strategies. By focusing on long-term gains instead of short-term profits, sustainable economic practices seek to create an economy that can thrive without causing harm to the environment or society. This often involves adopting technologies and methods that reduce costs and create value without depleting resources or harming ecosystems.

Halfway into the 19th century, Spain's Catalonia underwent a sweeping transformation when it was thrust into not one, but 2 golden eras – the Renaixença and the Industrial Revolution. It was during this explosive period of creativity, thriving prosperity, and invigorated patriotism that a steadfastly nonconforming and fascinatingly eccentric icon was born, one that was about to take Catalonia by storm with his brilliant eye for unorthodox art and his legendary – or as some would say, notoriously – out-of-the-box ideas. Salvador Dalí, the celebrated surrealist, was one of many who would find a fount of inspiration in him, even once raving about the Sagrada Familia, the highlight of this icon's career: “Those who have not heard about the chromatic and shining essence of its color, the astonishing polyphony of its towers as organ pipes and shocked by its mutant naturalism, are traitors.” This icon in question, of course, is none other than what many now consider to be the patriarch of the Catalan Modernism movement: Antoni Gaudí.
Across the pond, America’s most innovative and prolific architect was Frank Lloyd Wright, whose works are almost too vast and diverse to list. Recognized for designing unique churches and distinctive commercial buildings, and admired for his geometric style house designs, Wright has been widely imitated, and his work continues to influence architecture not only in the United States but around the world. Laymen often think they know the definition of “a Frank Lloyd Wright,” but they probably don’t fully understand the brilliant mind of the man, nor the intricacies of his Prairie Style. Yet it endures because he has made it so, and in many ways, Wright’s architectural career has overshadowed other aspects of his life.
