Sinopsis

Paris, 1802. The French Revolution is over, but Madame Guillotine still casts a long and bloody shadow over the last of the Aristocracy. In the bowels of the Château de Marigny, the beautiful young Comtesse Lynetta hides in terror – until her Knight in Shining Armour appears.

Smitten by her delicate loveliness, the dashingly decadent Darril, Earl of Charncliffe  rolls her up in a rug like Cleopatra and whisks her away under the nose of Napoleon Bonaparte himself.

Posing as honeymooning newlyweds, they flee with a gang of bloodthirsty revolutionaries hard on their heels and, hardly daring to believe that she has not lost her head to the guillotine, a trembling Lynetta suddenly knows that she has lost her heart.

What Does it Mean to Be "Crucified With Christ?"

During his lifetime, renowned teacher A.W. Tozer was often invited to speak at seminaries, churches, and Bible conferences on the topic of the cross and its meaning for the Christian life. Now, in this never-before-published distillation of his best teaching on the subject, you will gain a fresh understanding of the cross's centrality to your walk of faith in Christ.

The apostle Paul declared in his letter to the Galatians that he had been "crucified with Christ." But what does this mean? Is this a claim every believer can and should make?

The Crucified Life is a comprehensive examination of these questions, answered with the deep, biblical thinking for which Tozer was revered. "God is ingenious in developing crosses for His followers," Tozer was fond of saying. At the heart of this book, you will find a call to follow Christ to the cross and be raised to new life--a call to live the crucified life.

Book: Khalsa Butt Na Manne Koi
Edited By: Parmjeet Singh Gazi, Ravinderpal Singh
In Sikh history, the tradition of idol worship or communicating through images was never accepted. If such a practice was ever raised, it was rejected by Guru Sahib during the Guru's time, and later by Sikhs. This book contains various articles written by different individuals about the new phenomenon of idol-making in the Sikh community.
These articles discuss the prohibition of idol worship in the light of Sikh principles, with ample references to support the argument. All these articles provide a well-reasoned response to the arguments in favor of idol-making. They are based on Gurbani and the teachings of the Gurus, with references to historical facts.
Overall, the book's articles are valuable and serve as a reminder for every Sikh who remains committed to the Guru's path. The publication of this book is very important today, so that people can understand the issue through Panthic references rather than mere rationality and promote the teachings of Sikh tradition for future generations.

My name is James Jerome Hankins. My mother, Faldenia, an AMEZ teacher gave me my first name James after St. James who said" if you have faith but don't do any work to help others, you are "nothing". My father, Edward, a Catholic barber gave me my middle name Jerome after St. Jerome who translated the bible from Greek to Latin and is the patron saint of writers. My last name, Hankins, came from my brave slave ancestor, "American Hero" Abraham Galloway. My cousin Abraham Galloway lived only 33 years (1837-1870) but he accomplished so much for our people. His country treated him as a 3rd class piece of property, but he like Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Medgar, Martin and Malcom refused to bow and worship a man -made golden idol.
My education started at St. Thomas Catholic private elementary school in Wilmington, NC to Shawtown High school in Lillington, NC to Williston Senior High in Wilmington, NC to North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC.
I have written guest commentary in three great black newspapers, Wilmington Journal, Greater Diversity and The County News. I also post on Facebook at least three times a month. This is my second book.
I have served as an Estate Administrator, power of attorney for a family friend, caregiver and court appointed guardian.
Last but not least I have been a 98% voter, volunteer register and precinct official in my Democratic party.
