Summary

Christianity is the religion of a Book. Christianity is based upon the impregnable rock of Holy Scripture.

The starting point of all doctrinal discussion must be the Bible. Upon the foundation of the Divine inspiration of the Bible stands or falls the entire edifice of Christian truth."If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" (Psalm 11:3). Surrender the dogma of verbal inspiration and you are left like a rudderless ship on a stormy sea-at the mercy of every wind that blows.

Deny that the Bible is, without any qualifications, the very Word of God, and you are left without any ultimate standard of measurement and without any supreme authority. It is useless to discuss any doctrine taught by the Bible until you are prepared to acknowledge, unreservedly, that the Bible is the final court of appeal.

Grant that the Bible is a Divine revelation and communication of God's own mind and will to men, and you have a fixed starting point from which advance can be made into the domain of truth. Grant that the Bible is (in its original manuscripts) inerrant and infallible and you reach the place where study of its contents is both practicable and profitable.

This book is an important study on the Word of God and its divine inspiration.

Finding Certainty and Fulfillment in the Science of Life. By the time he was thirty, Syd Kessler was a millionaire many times over, the epitome of the poor kid making good. But inside him, a hollowness was taking hold, and later, in middle age, he fell seriously ill. In the dark days of a long recovery, Kessler explored the Kabbalah and the discoveries of quantum physics, developing a system of moral principles from the truths of how the universe began and operates. His set of principles -- from Big Bang to Moral Cause and Effect to Selfless Selfishness to Closure and Energy -- are revolutionary. They will heighten your sense of self and purpose and transform your relationships in every part of your life. Syd Kessler, one of North America’s top advertising executives, is a mentor and investor in new companies. He was the principal of the major advertising companies Kessler Productions, Kessler Music Inc., The Air Company, and Supercorp (with John Labatt Ltd.)."The Perfect System offers an aerial cartographer's view of the central mysteries of life. . . 'Women have Bridget Jones. Men have no one. Until now.' Ricky Gervais
In the best-selling tradition of Clarkson and Moyles, this is TV and Radio personality Christian O’Connell’s take on all things men.
For ten years Christian has dispensed his wisdom and advice to millions of lucky radio listeners on every topic conceivable. It was when he saw his wife reading and laughing at a book ‘How to Kill Your Husband’ that he realised he had to write this book.
In his sage opinion, men need to be saved from themselves. Women need to understand men better and stop hating them and men need to make sense of why they are they way they are.
'The Trouble With Men' reveals some hard but hilarious truths about the male race. Who do men actually look to for inspiration? The Hoff? Simon Cowell? James Blunt? Why do men behave in that odd way at barbecues? Why can a man have his heart broken a thousand times by his football team and yet still forgive them more than he would a woman?
With his outspoken humour and his ironic take on life, Christian explores male-dom, celebrating all that is great about being a man and unravelling the mysteries of masculinity that have stumped women for centuries.
Includes:Superheroes – all of them let us down. Here’s why.The Ultimate History of Men… from caves to Ikea. The Man Test – a highly unscientific flow chart to determine just how confused you are right now.The Perfect Man – if Apple designed men…Men and Cooking – the most important part of nutrition. TV snacks. What We Want from Women – show up naked. Bring beer.Rules and Codes – the unwritten, never discussed rules about how to behave in bathrooms, cars and out and aboutMen and Sex – ‘touch them there and they love it.’Imagine a World Without Us – heaven or hell?Communication – friend and foe. What’s the Point of Us? – enough with the slagging off. Here’s what we rule at…
Drawing from his own life, Christian O'Connell's The Men Commandments is more than just a biography; it's an autobiography that delves into the psyche of the modern man. It's a humorous, insightful exploration of masculinity that every man can relate to and every woman can learn from.

A collection of humorous essays on “the art of being infuriating and other childhood fun” (The New York Times).

Universal and timeless, Delia Ephron’s How to Eat Like a Child is a delightful revisiting of the joys — and tricky ploys — of childhood. Made into a children’s television special and a musical theater revue performed across the country each year, How to Eat Like a Child offers advice beyond the artful etiquette of food consumption. Ephron also teaches us “How to Laugh Hysterically,” “How to Have a Birthday Party,” “How to Torture Your Sister,” and much, much more. As the Washington Post Book World noted, “After the giggles of recognition have subsided, one thing will be very clear: all adults are kids in grown-ups’ clothing.”
