Synopsis

HOME FOR CHRISTMAS is a collection of short stories with a festive Caribbean flavour.  A number of these stories have been awarded prizes in international competition.  Some of them are rendered in beautiful Barbadian English but the author is certain that international listeners will have no difficulty in understanding and appreciating this intimate and rhythmic form of expression.The author wishes to thank  Mr. David Lynch, son of the late Louis Albert Lynch, former Mayor of Bridgetown, for granting permission to use an excerpt from Mr. Lynch's classic work entitled "The Barbados Book". Thanks also to the members of The Modern High School Old Scholars' Association for their assistance and support.
