He chuckles. "Did you have a good day, baby?" he asks, fingers curling in her hair, combing the soft curls back from her ears.

She nods and mewls something unintelligible, melting into his lap easily.

"Tell me about your day, baby," he prompts even though he already knows the answer. She's too timid to leave the room at all.

"Missed you," she whispers, as if she had spent the whole day curled up in the room, waiting for him to come back to her.

He feels a heavy weight in his chest as the gravity of her words settle. He is her entire world. What a terrible power to hold. How he would abuse that power to make her do whatever he wants with her- to her.

He shakes the thoughts away and combs his fingers through her hair, rubbing down her spine and stopping before he touches her tail. "I missed you too, darling," he hums.
