Sinopsis

What happens to identity when we're obsessed with self-surveillance and devalued words? Now that we've sold ourselves to ourselves, shuffling letters and sounds around to hide the pain, how do we represent the uncanny valley in which we've set up shop? In Cursed Objects, Jason Christie recoils in horror at the thoroughness of his self, then begins to write toward a new understanding brokered between all the things that define him and who he thinks he should be and interrogates how we reduce people to words, especially online, turning them into objects.

A pretty, dark and eclectic book of poetry by Allpoetry.com's Poet called The Poette.Requiem
    Under the moon's silver glow,
I could forget everything and live in this moment forever,
tugs on the heartstrings like a beautiful voice in song,
words are the dreams the heart makes,
all now of the dream I have is a requiem.

Scattered is a collection of poems between the time periods of 2012-2019 from the humorous and eclectic mind of Justin Johnson. While some pieces are contrived from complete fantasy others tap into the mental and history of Justin. Whether it's dealing with his own self-doubts and depression, reminiscing over past relationships or presenting interesting stance towards social and political issues, Justin’s erratic writing style is here to remind you that you aren't in this alone and a good laugh can help battle any personal conflicts you are facing.
