Synopsis

The Black Pullet is a mysterious nineteenth-century grimoire framed as the memoir of a French officer who, after becoming separated from Napoleon's army during the Egyptian campaign, is rescued by an enigmatic old sage living in a hidden retreat. In gratitude, the sage initiates him into a system of occult wisdom centered on a legendary black hen capable of producing inexhaustible wealth and a series of magical rings and talismans that grant powers such as protection, healing, invisibility, commanding spirits, discovering hidden treasures, influencing others, and acquiring knowledge. Blending adventure, Hermetic symbolism, ceremonial magic, and esoteric philosophy, the narrative serves as an introduction to the grimoire's collection of magical seals and operations, presenting them as practical instruments through which the worthy practitioner may attain mastery over both the visible and invisible worlds.
