Sinopsis

Christianity, one of the world’s major religions, traces its roots to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ in the first century CE. It began as a small Jewish sect in the Roman province of Judea, where Jesus, a charismatic preacher and healer, proclaimed the arrival of the Kingdom of God. His message centered on love, forgiveness, and repentance, attracting a diverse following. After his crucifixion, believed by followers to be a redemptive act, the movement gained momentum as his disciples, empowered by their faith and the belief in his resurrection, spread his teachings throughout the Roman Empire and beyond. 
The early Christians faced significant persecution, yet their unwavering faith and communal practices nurtured a robust and resilient community. Key figures, such as the Apostle Paul, played a crucial role in expanding the faith beyond Jewish populations, emphasizing the idea that salvation through Christ was accessible to all, regardless of background. The letters of Paul, along with other writings from early church leaders, laid the foundational doctrines and ethics that continue to shape Christian belief and practice today. 
By the fourth century, Christianity underwent a significant transformation when Emperor Constantine embraced the faith, leading to its legalization and establishment as the state religion of the Roman Empire. This monumental shift not only provided legitimacy but also facilitated the integration of various cultural elements into Christian practices. Over the centuries, Christianity diversified into numerous denominations, each interpreting scripture and doctrine through distinct theological lenses.
