Sinopse

•	A Bridget Jones story for the dating-app-obsessed millennial generation, Match Made in Manhattan chronicles the awkward, romantic, and cringe-worthy struggles of trying to find “The One” in the digital dating age.

•	This debut novel is a fast-paced, episodic contemporary women's fiction story that follows the ups and downs of former serial monogamist Alison as she signs up for every dating app out there and meets dozens of captivating and quirky New York men as she struggles to find her perfect match, perfect for fans of The Bachelorette.

•	With witty dialogue and hilarious antics in the vein of Jennifer Weiner’s Good in Bed and a refreshing sub-theme of strong female friendships a la Rachel Bertsche’s MWF Seeking BFF, this hilarious, all-too-realistic novel will have readers laughing and crying all the way to its sweet ending.

•	In collaboration with a professional film editor and producer, a YouTube series based on the novel is currently in development (in the vein of Broad City). It is tentatively titled “unMatched” and can be timed to launch with the publication of the book.

•	The author lives in New York City, is a freelance copyeditor for Alloy Entertainment, and is a member of the Yale Alumna Mom’s club (which has a network of 16,000+ members) and can leverage these contacts to help promote the book.

A “bracing, hilarious and dead on” account of a college graduate’s chronic underemployment (The New York Times Book Review).   In ten years, Iain Levison has lived in six states and worked at forty-two jobs, from fish cutter in Alaska to furniture mover in North Carolina, film-set gopher, oil deliveryman, truck driver, and crab fisherman. He quit thirty of them, got fired from nine, and has difficulty remembering the other three. Whatever could go wrong often did, hilariously.  A Working Stiff’s Manifesto is a funny book about the not-so-funny experience of dead-end jobs—the real thing, written not by a high-priced journalist disguised as a counter clerk, but by a genuine wage-dependent, hand-to-mouth working stiff, too well-off for welfare yet too broke to fit a consumer demographic. He works to keep his car running to get back and forth from work. He works to get by and get back to square one for the next day’s labors. And in this book, he finally gets some use out of the forty thousand he blew on his English degree—providing an “entertaining, unusual mix of autobiography and social commentary [from] a sharp-eyed, impassioned critic of the American workplace” (Publishers Weekly).

    Bucky F*cking Dent - A Novel

From beloved actor and cultural icon David Duchovny comes a surreal and hilarious audio-book.Ted Fullilove, aka Mr. Peanut, is not like other Ivy League grads. He shares an apartment with Goldberg, his beloved battery-operated fish, sleeps on a bed littered with yellow legal pads penned with what he hopes will be the next great American novel, and spends the waning malaise-filled days of the Carter administration at Yankee Stadium, waxing poetic while slinging peanuts to pay the rent.
When Ted hears the news that his estranged father, Marty, is dying of lung cancer, he immediately moves back into his childhood home, where a whirlwind of revelations ensues. The browbeating absentee father of his youth is living to make up for lost time, but his health dips drastically whenever his beloved Red Sox lose. And so, with help from a crew of neighborhood old-timers and the lovely Mariana—Marty's Nuyorican grief counselor—Ted orchestrates the illusion of a Sox winning streak, enabling Marty and the Red Sox to reverse the Curse of the Bambino and cruise their way to World Series victory. Well, sort of.
David Duchovny's richly drawn Bucky F*cking Dent is a story of the bond between fathers and sons, Yankee fans and the Fenway faithful, and grapples with the urgent need to find our story in an age of irony and artifice. Culminating in that fateful moment in October of '78 when the meek Bucky Dent hit his way into baseball history with the unlikeliest of home runs, this tragicomic audio-book demonstrates that life truly belongs to the losers—that the long shots are the ones worth betting on.
Bucky F*cking Dent is a singular tale that brims with the hilarity, poignancy, and profound solitude of modern life.A Macmillan Audio production.

My suspicion kindled. "You young people. You're doing that Bird Box challenge, aren't you?"
    She frowned. “Bird Box?”
“When you blindfold yourself and then do something stupid. Tell me the truth,” I said, gesturing at Comet. “Did you do this blindfolded?”
The groomer shook her head, her stubborn silence adding fuel to my fury. She glanced at the dog as if he would back her up in some way, but I could tell he was beginning to get the idea. He was starting to understand that, despite his excellent breeding, he currently looked like a mangey pavement special. I wondered if I should get him a cone for his neck so that he wouldn't have to witness this new, burning humiliation. We'd cancel our plans. We'd stay at home until he felt less ashamed of his awful appearance. Poor boy.
