Sinopsis

What does it mean to be vulnerable and defiant at the same time? In Deeply Grateful and Entirely Unsatisfied, author and artist Amanda Happé poses this question with disarming honesty and humor. Her colorful marker drawings and quirky hand-lettered sentiments offer an idiosyncratic take on life's challenges, reminding the reader that "you are the sign you've been waiting for." Brimming with compassion, empathy, and a healthy dose of sarcasm, Deeply Grateful and Entirely Unsatisfied is, in Happé's own words, "so good it's odd."

Father Charles Coughlin was a controversial Canadian-American Catholic priest based in Michigan. Calling for monetary reforms, the nationalization of major industries and railroads, and protection of the rights of labor, Coughlin used weekly radio broadcasts to reach a mass audience of up to thirty million listeners during the 1930s.
An early supporter of Franklin D. Roosevelt and his New Deal, Coughlin later became a harsh critic. Coughlin’s commentary also became more anti-semitic, and he supported some of the fascist policies of Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito. As a result, many American Catholic leaders, as well as the Vatican, wanted Coughlin silenced. After the outbreak of World War II in 1939, the Roosevelt administration finally forced the cancellation of his radio program and forbade the dissemination of his newspaper, Social Justice.
In this recording, Coughlin first discusses Franklin D. Roosevelt, and then the consequences of World War I twenty years after.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Megadeth’s iconic record, Rust in Peace, from the band’s lead vocalist and guitarist. When Rust in Peace was released in 1990, the future of Megadeth was uncertain. Fresh off their performance at the record-breaking Monsters of Rock festival, and with knockout new albums from Slayer, Anthrax, and Metallica dominating the charts, the pressure to produce a standout statement record was higher than ever.In Rust in Peace: The Inside Story of the Megadeth Masterpiece, the band's lead vocalist and guitarist, Dave Mustaine, gives readers a never-before-seen glimpse into the artistry and insanity that went into making the band's most iconic record. He recounts the arduous task of hiring the band and supporting cast, of managing egos and extracurriculars during the album's ensuing success, and succumbing to the pressures of fame and fortune—which eventually forced the band to break up.And yet, Megadeth's demise was just the beginning; the birth pangs of the record were nothing compared to what came next. Alcohol, drugs, sex, money, power, property, prestige, the lies fed to the band by the industry—and the lies they told each other-threatened to eat away at the band's bond like rust, devouring it until only the music survived.Featuring a foreword by Slash

Full of fresh speeches from Shakespeare's plays, this is the ideal guide for actors of all ages and experience.
As an actor at any level you are likely to be called upon to perform a speech from Shakespeare. A great deal will depend on your coming up with something fresh that is suited both to your particular performing skills and to the purposes of the audition. This is where this volume of
The Good Audition Guides comes in.
Drawing on his extensive experience as a theatre director and in drama training, Luke Dixon has chosen fifty monologues for male actors from across the whole of Shakespeare's canon. Featured here are some of the very best-loved works (such as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry V and Hamlet) alongside many less well-known (and often more intriguing) speeches from plays like Love's Labour's Lost, King John and Titus Andronicus.
Each monologue is prefaced with a neat summary of the vital information you need to place the piece in context and to perform it to maximum effect and in your own unique way. The volume also features a user-friendly introduction on the whole process of selecting your speech, tackling Shakespeare's language and approaching the audition itself.
