  "Celephaïs" is a fantasy story by American horror fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft, written in early November 1920 and first published in the May 1922 issue of the Rainbow. The title refers to a fictional city that later appears in Lovecraft's Dream Cycle, including his novella The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath (1926).
  Celephaïs was created in a dream by Kuranes (which is his name in dreams his real name is not given) as a child of the English landed gentry. As a man in his forties, alone and dispossessed in contemporary London, he dreams it again and then, seeking it, slowly slips away to the dream-world. Finally knights guide him through medieval England to his ancestral estate, where he spent his boyhood, and then to Celephaïs...

  "Dick do you know why Amazon, Redbubble, Audible, and someone called Zazzle are paying me?" asked James one day suspecting it had to do with him. 
  "I wrote a book," said Turpin. 
  "You wrote a book?" said James. 
  "It's selling on Amazon and Audible, and I promote my work on Redbubble and Zazzle," said Turpin. 
  "Why am I being paid by them?" said James 
  "I used your details and name to sign up and as a name. I couldn't sell without real details what would people say if I said I was a ghostwriter!" said Turpin. 
  "You lousy identity thief!" grumbled James "Great I'm being haunted by a computer genius from before computers." 
  "Thief I'm paying you!" said Turpin. 
  "I thought Audible needed real voices to be eligible to have your work put on Audible?" said James. 
  "I read the book on to the computer as John Palmer," said Turpin. 
  "How? I thought I was the only person who could hear you?" said James. 
  "I did an E V P," Turpin said. 
  "A what?" asked James. 
  "Electronic Voice Phenomena or a ghost audio recording! Ghosts can be recorded with a microphone, so I read it." Turpin said. 
  "So you are haunting Audible now, are you?" James said. 
  "And YouTube, iTunes, and Soundcloud, among other things if you put it like that?" said Turpin exasperated. 
  "What am I supposed to have written!" asked James.

  John Charles Dent, the author of the following remarkable stories, was born in Kendal, Westmorland, England, in 1841. His parents emigrated to Canada shortly after that event, bringing with them, of course, the youth who was afterwards to become the Canadian author and historian. Mr. Dent received his primary education in Canadian schools, and afterwards studied law, becoming in due course a member of the Upper Canada Bar. He only practised for a few years, then returned to England to pursue a literary career, writing mostly for periodicals. After remaining in England for several years, Mr. Dent and his family moved to Boston, in America, for about two years. But he finally returned to Canada, accepting a journalistic position in Toronto. Mr. Dent proceeded to write 'The Canadian Portrait Gallery', which ran to four large volumes, 'The Last Forty Years: Canada since the Union of 1841', and a 'History of the Rebellion in Upper Canada'.This collected work of his short fiction, contributed by their author at considerable intervals to different periodicals, was published posthumously. The stories themselves are delightfully anchored in the physical geography of Upper Canada (or in the case of 'Gagtooth's Image', Illinois), and have a mystical and spooky air about them.
