PART I. SELF-DIRECTED WARFARE

A mind that is weak—that gets easily distracted and overwhelmed by emotion, is rooted in the past instead of the present, and cannot see the world for what it is—will only create strategies that always miss the mark.
1. DECLARE WAR ON YOUR ENEMIES
There are always people out there who are more ruthless, devious, and aggressive than you are. These types might seem charming and cooperative, but their greed has no limits, and they’re simply trying to disarm you. With such people, there is no middle ground, no hope of conciliation. Know these dangerous enemies by their past: look for quick power grabs, sudden rises in fortune, or previous acts of treachery. Once you suspect you are dealing with such an enemy, do not lay down your arms. You are the last line of your own defense.
Always keep the search for enemies under control—you want clarity, not paranoia. It is the downfall of many tyrants to see an enemy in everyone. They become hopelessly embroiled in the emotions fueled by their paranoia and lose their grip on reality. By keeping an eye on possible enemies, you are simply being...

Orthodoxy is the dominant form of Christianity in Greece, Russia, parts of Eastern Europe, and the Balkans. Its practices are largely unfamiliar in the West and have remained essentially unchanged since the earliest days of the faith. This lucid introduction outlines the tenets, nature, and holy days of Orthodox belief with the Western listener in mind. It describes the physical church, especially icons, services, and common practices, and it offers advice to visitors on how to conduct themselves so that they are accepted and feel comfortable.Several chapters concern the life of Jesus and the beginnings of Christianity; others trace the origins and history of the Church, with particular attention to its great champion, Constantine the Great. The present structure of the Church is described in brief, and the split between the Eastern and the Western Churches is related with differences clearly explained. The great antiquity and beauty of its liturgy, its essentially minimal hierarchy, and its mystical yet pragmatic approach make the Orthodox religion a powerful medium for its profound and universal message.

This audiobook takes the mystery out of the accumulation of wealth and breaks it down into a scientific formula. By doing things in this certain way, you can find the easiest and most direct way to acquire riches. An excerpt from the Preface of The Science Of Getting Rich, originally published in 1910: "This book is pragmatical, not philosophical; a practical manual, not a treatise upon theories. It is intended for the men and women whose most pressing need is for money; who wish to get rich first, and philosophize afterward. It is for those who have, so far, found neither the time, the means, nor the opportunity to go deeply into the study of metaphysics, but who want results and who are willing to take the conclusions of science as a basis for action, without going into all the processes by which those conclusions were reached. It is expected that the reader will take the fundamental statements upon faith, just as he would take statements concerning a law of electrical action if they were promulgated by a Marconi or an Edison; and, taking the statements upon faith, that he will prove their truth by acting upon them without fear or hesitation. Every man or woman who does this will certainly get rich; for the science herein applied is an exact science, and failure is impossible....In writing this book I have sacrificed all other considerations to plainness and simplicity of style, so that all might understand. The plan of action laid down herein was deduced from the conclusions of philosophy; it has been thoroughly tested, and bears the supreme test of practical experiment: It works...and if you wish to reap the fruits of their philosophies in actual practice, read this book and do exactly as it tells you to do. -The Author". This digitally mastered audiobook with its professional narration is one of the highest quality recordings ever made of this classic book.

In a world with a surplus of ideas, what separates a good idea from a bad one? Learn how to cultivate a mindset that produces the kind of ideas people can't turn down.

Most professionals cannot generate a solid idea. They either offer up tired or reused ones, or they generate lots of ideas but none that are worth pursuing.

A great idea presents a well-formulated thought or plan of action that spurs growth, change, advancement, adaptation, or new insight. Worthwhile ideas move the needle; they change the playing field altogether.

The New Art of Ideas is designed to help readers consistently produce worthwhile ideas by becoming nimble and imaginative thinkers better equipped to compete and produce in a global economy. Robin Landa identifies the Three Gs of every good idea:

    	Goal-Your vision for the end
Gap-The underdeveloped area that your idea fills
Gain-The overall benefits of your goal

With explanations and examples of each component, this book demystifies the process of effective ideation and hands you the key to unlock your creative potential.
