    A devastating loss
When Meg and Marc lost their daughter, their family collapsed in on itself. Nobody could understand the trauma that they carried so it made sense when they turned to a therapist, Janette to help process their grief.
    A new start
Desperate for some distance from their grief, they relocate to a small town where they know no one. They’re sure it’s a happy coincidence that Janette has moved there too, and at first it feels reassuring to have a friendly face nearby.
A past that won’t be silenced
But in those dark, desperate days after the accident, they shared everything with her. Secrets they haven’t even told each other. And it seems Janette doesn’t want to just be their therapist anymore. Or even their friend…
Dark, sharp and sinister, this novel will make you question those whom you trust most, and the final twist will shock you to your core.

An ex cop in a wheelchair, a med school drop out on crutches.
    Not your standard PI duo.
After a hit-and-run car crash Caitlyn's life is put on hold. Her broken leg refuses to heal, and she is questioning her future career plans as a doctor. She realizes the only way forward is to find out what happened, who hit her and left her to die, and – most importantly - who was at fault.
She dust off her (very average) hacking skills, and enlists the help of Thomas Dean; a former-cop-turned-PI, and a permanent wheelchair user after a spinal cord injury. He hopes he still has what it takes to get the job done.
But what Caitlyn first shrugs off as paranoia, a daily reminder of the annoying post-crash nightmares, turns out to be a real threat. In their search for the perpetrator, they stumble on a bigger case than they had planned for.
If you like PI mysteries somewhere in between cozy and thriller with some humor mixed in, then this book is for you!

A violent car crash brings on the premature birth of the baby that Jane Whitefield and her husband have hoped for, but it also shatters the period of calm in their lives like an earthquake triggering a tectonic shift. Within weeks, Jane's peaceful time as a new mother in a safe, harmonious home starts to revert to her harrowing previous life. She had spent over a decade rescuing and sheltering people from dangerous foes, taking them to new locations, and teaching them to live under new identities. It was something that she'd hoped to never have to do again.

Nearly simultaneously, as though the events were connected, people who are thousands of miles apart in vastly different circumstances start to move. Some of them are in terrible need of help finding a route to safety. Some are dedicated to serving justice. Others are determined to capture the woman who makes people disappear so they can force her to reveal where their potential victims are now. All of these travelers are soon on their way to the old house in western New York.

Suddenly the people requiring Jane's special skills include not only multiple fugitives, but also Jane herself, her husband, and their newborn, as the danger she faces comes from people who know how to find her. She'll need to use everything she's ever learned in order to survive.

With mouthwatering treats selling fast in October, Emily is delighted to welcome her assistant’s younger sister, Hannah, to help at the donut shop while taking a semester off from college. But Hannah’s talent for dishing powdered pastries without dropping a crumb attracts some unusual customers, as two admirers with opposite personalities begin to show up during her shifts—much to her older sister’s disappointment . . .
Real trouble comes after hours in the dark forest surrounding Emily’s lakeside house. Emily follows a trail of her freshly-made beignets—just like those purchased by the two admirers—to a dead body. And while the victim may have burned a few bridges, there’s no way to sugarcoat the discovery of Hannah’s hairclip at the crime scene. Now, as suspicions fall on her own employee and unsavory rumors swirl around town, it will take far more than a sprinkle of good luck for Emily to learn the truth and expose a killer with a very deadly craving . . .
