When Juno Browne purchased a car for her lover, Daniel Thorncroft, she was not expecting that the previous owner would lock a dead body in the boot. Who the dead man could be is a persistent question, as is the whereabouts of the seller, Amber Horrell. While Inspector Ford and the Ashburton police are on the case, Juno's insatiable curiosity and concern for the missing Amber lead her to start sleuthing on her own. It turns out that the Horrells, Amber's family, are notorious in this corner of Devon, with an ancient murder and vanishing red diamond in their past and a shady antiques business very much in their present.

With a second murder, Juno's involvement in the investigation becomes more complicated and the line between reality and fiction also become blurred. But the truth, she discovers, is far more complicated than it seems.

If you're familiar with Grizzly Adams, you've likely seen our past 1970s movies and TV series produced by Sunn Classic Pictures, Inc. The real Grizzly Adams was a rugged frontier woodsman, hunter, animal trainer, and entertainer with a deep connection to the American West's wildlife. Born in Massachusetts in 1812, John "Grizzly" Adams left his wife and daughters in 1849 to make a living. During his travels, he obtained a cub bear he named Ben Franklin, after its mother died. Over time, Ben and Grizzly became like family, sharing many adventures, including performing with the P.T. Barnum Circus. Although Grizzly trained wild animals, many of his injuries came from the dangerous animals he worked with. He became famous but tragically passed away in 1860 after returning home for a final visit to his family.
Our new Grizzly Adams story takes place in the present day, featuring his great-great-great-grandson, a big man like his ancestor. After being discharged from the military, he encounters a terrible car accident involving a grizzly bear. He rescues a young boy, Tony, and a baby grizzly bear whose mother had died trying to protect her cub. After helping Tony and the cub, Grizzly takes them to town, where Tony and the cub are adopted. The cub is named Ben, and a new adventure begins for Grizzly, Tony, and Ben.

The Adventure of Black Peter is a Sherlock Holmes story by Arthur Conan Doyle. This tale is in the collection The Return of Sherlock Holmes, but was published originally in 1904 in the Strand Magazine and Collier's.Forest Row in the Weald is the scene of a harpoon murder, and a young police inspector, Stanley Hopkins, asks Holmes, whom he admires, for help. Holmes has already determined that it would take a great deal of strength and skill to run a man through with a harpoon and embed it in the wall behind him.Peter Carey, the 50-year-old victim and former master of the Sea Unicorn of Dundee, who lived with his wife and daughter, had a reputation for being violent. Carey did not sleep in the family house, but in a small cottage that he built some distance from the house, whose interior he had decorated to look like a sailor's cabin on a ship. This is where he was found harpooned. Hopkins could find no footprints or other physical evidence. However, a tobacco pouch made of sealskin and with the initials "P.C." was found at the scene, which was full of strong ship's tobacco. This is rather unusual, as Peter Carey—or "Black Peter" as people called him—seldom smoked. Indeed, Hopkins found no pipe in the cabin. Carey was found fully dressed, suggesting that he was expecting a visitor, and there was some rum laid out along with two dirty glasses...Famous works of the author Arthur Conan Doyle: A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of the Four, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Return of Sherlock Holmes, The Valley of Fear, His Last Bow, The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, Stories of Sherlock Holmes, The Lost World.
