    Killer Ways To Make Partnerships...

Who was it that said "It take a village…"? They may not have been talking about being a product manager, but they might as well have been. Life has become so complex that product managers can no longer make their product a success just by their own efforts. Today it takes the help of one or more partners to get your product to where it needs to be. Are you going to be ready to work with those partners?

    What You'll Find Inside:
    * FORCE MAJEURE: WHAT IS IT AND WHY CARE?
    * 4 THINGS PRODUCT MANAGERS NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BUYING ANOTHER COMPANY
    * NETFLIX TEACHES PRODUCT MANAGERS A LESSON
    * PARTNERSHIPS THAT DON’T WORK OUT FOR PRODUCT MANAGERS

One of the first things that product managers learn about working with partners is that we always need to have a signed contract with them. An often overlooked part of such contracts is the "force majeure" clause – product managers need to know what this really means. Product managers can learn by watching how other firms, such as Netflix, work with partners to become successful.

Product managers need to decide if they are going to be willing to work with other firms. Yes, they will be giving up some control of their product. However, like Taylor Swift and her battles with partners, they may be gaining more control over the product's success in the end.

What product managers need to realize is that not all partnerships will work out. Even at giant companies like Amazon, there will be partnerships that initially appear to be a good idea but which go bad. Learning how to use partners to tap into new markets, like India's Paytm mobile payment system has done, is the key to making your partnerships work out for you.

In the midst of loss and death and suffering, our charge is to figure out what freedom really means—and how we take steps to get there.

“In the United States, being poor and Black makes you more likely to get sick. Being poor, Black, and sick makes you more likely to die. Your proximity to death makes you disposable.” The uprising of 2020 marked a new phase in the unfolding Movement for Black Lives. The brutal killings of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor, and countless other injustices large and small, were the match that lit the spark of the largest protest movement in US history, a historic uprising against racism and the politics of disposability that the Covid-19 pandemic lays bare.In this urgent and incisive collection of new interviews bookended by two new essays, Marc Lamont Hill critically examines the “pre-existing conditions” that have led us to this moment of crisis and upheaval, guiding us through both the perils and possibilities, and helping us imagine an abolitionist future.

Changing the world one hair cut at a time.
People used to tell me, “You’re just a hairstylist.”
    I really hate that phrase.
People have been underestimating me my entire life. If I’d believed them, I never would have made it to where I am today. The same thing is probably happening to you.
It’s time to let go of that.
In this book, I will help you shuck off the belief systems of others and find the reason you're here. Your purpose. The driving force behind being you.
Through finding our purpose, we can transform our own lives and the lives of those around us. My purpose has taken me to the darkest, most remote places of the world as I fight for freedom against sexual exploitation, but it still fills me with light every day.
I want the same for you.
With a step-by-step process, and plenty of stories (both hysterical and heart-wrenching) you and I will get to the heart of your purpose. We’ll sculpt a better life for you together.
Because you are made for more.
