However, it was not until 2017, when the hashtag #MeToo went viral following allegations against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, that the movement gained immense global traction. What followed was a wave of survivors coming forward, recounting their own stories of harassment, abuse, and trauma. The hashtag quickly became a symbol of empowerment, solidarity, and strength, with millions of people around the world joining in to share their experiences, stand in support of others, and demand change. 
    
  The digital age played a crucial role in amplifying the voices of survivors. Social media platforms, particularly Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, provided a space for individuals to share their stories without the barriers of traditional media. The power of the hashtag allowed voices from all walks of life, from ordinary individuals to high-profile celebrities, to unite in a way that was impossible before.
