Release Me is the first book in the highly addictive Wolf Hotel Mermaid Beach series, a spin-off of the Wolf Hotel series.

I may not know much, but I am an expert in two things:

    Heartbreak.

    And hedonism.

I've been chasing escape from one bed to the next, finding distraction in all the wrong places.

    Like with my roommate's sister.

    And my billionaire boss's lover.

You could say I'm lucky in lust but very unlucky in the other L-word.

By the time I arrive in Mermaid Beach, Florida, I've decided I'm done with flings. I'm over chasing women I can't have.

Until I meet Sloane Parker, the woman who has made it her mission to ruin the new Wolf Hotel.

A hotel I'm supposed to help manage, by the way. Yeah. Me, Ronan Lyle, Director of Facilities.

    Don't you dare laugh.

I don't need another forbidden woman in my life, especially one who could derail my future.

But what I want? That's a totally different story.

Beth has forgotten the core truth of her own life. In a cruel move, her dead mother is about to remind her. A wise and ultimately warm-hearted story about self-discovery, family and community for readers of Tricia Stringer and Liz Byrski.

Since adolescence, 58-year-old Beth has lived her life with blinkers on, repressing the memory of a teenage trauma. Her mother, Marian, took control of that situation, and of all else in their family life - and as much as she could in the small town of Miner's Ridge as well.

Now Marian is dead, and Beth, unemployed and in the middle of a humiliating divorce, is living with her gentle-hearted father in the family home. Beth feels obliged to take over her mother's involvement in the local town hall committee, which becomes a source of new friendships, old friendships renewed, and a considerable amount of aggravation.

Researching town hall history, Beth finds photographs that show Marian in a surprising light; sorting through Marian's belongings, she realises that her mother has left a trail of landmines, cruel revelations that knock the feet out from under her supposed nearest and dearest. Beth struggles to emerge from the ensuing emotional chaos ... in middle age, can she really start anew?

A deeply felt, acutely observed novel about mothers and children, about what people hide from themselves and each other, about the richness and difficulties of community, and about becoming your own person.

"Dear Old World, You Are Very Lovely, and I Am Glad to Be Alive in You."

When a skinny, freckled girl with a vivid imagination and a penchant for "big words" arrives at a quiet farm on Prince Edward Island, nothing will ever be the same. Anne of Green Gables is more than a story of a mistake—it is a celebration of the resilience of the human spirit and the magic that happens when we dare to see the world through a lens of wonder.

This edition captures the enduring magic of Montgomery's masterpiece:

The Power of "Kindred Spirits": Revisit the heart of the novel—the search for true belonging and the deep, soulful connections that turn strangers into family.

The Landscape of Avonelea: Immerse yourself in the lush, sensory descriptions of "The White Way of Delight" and "The Lake of Shining Waters," where nature itself is a character.

A Heroine for the Ages: Experience the wit and "scrapes" of Anne Shirley, a protagonist whose fierce independence and poetic soul have inspired generations of readers.

A Coming-of-Age Journey: Witness the poignant transition from childhood fancy to the responsibilities of young adulthood, all while keeping the "bent for romance" alive.

Lucy Maud Montgomery's prose is a masterclass in atmosphere and emotional depth. This volume is an essential cornerstone for any library of classic fiction, youth literature, and inspirational storytelling.

Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town is a sequence of stories by Stephen Leacock, first published in 1912. It is generally considered to be one of the most enduring classics of Canadian humorous literature. The fictional setting for these stories is Mariposa, a small town on the shore of Lake Wissanotti. Although drawn from his experiences in Orillia, Ontario, Leacock writes in the introduction: “Mariposa is not a real town. On the contrary, it is about seventy or eighty of them. You may find them all the way from Lake Superior to the sea, with the same square streets and the same maple trees and the same churches and hotels.” This work has remained popular for its universal appeal. Many of the characters, though modelled on townspeople of Orillia, are small town archetypes. Their shortcomings and weaknesses are presented in a humorous but affectionate way. Often, the narrator greatly exaggerates the importance of the events in Mariposa compared to the rest of the world. For example, when there is a country-wide election, “the town of Mariposa, was, of course, the storm centre and focus point of the whole turmoil.” (Summary from Wikipedia)
