Young victor frankenstein and his creations
Book 2 of 6 – Whirly Gig takes flight at the village fair
summary of this SECOND book in the series is as follows::
Victor Frankenstein and his creations—especially Whirly Gig, his mechanical bird—prepare for the Village Fair’s flying machine competition. Their rival, the arrogant Reginald Steamworth, dismisses Whirly as a mere toy, but Victor remains determined. During the contest, Whirly’s nervous hiccups disrupt her routine, but when a sudden storm threatens the fair, she and the other creations spring into action. Nutty Bolt secures the collapsing tent, Tick Tock retrieves ropes, Stella Spark lights the way, and Whirly rescues a child’s balloon. Impressed by their heroism, the judges award Victor the grand prize—a coveted engineering book—while Reginald begrudgingly acknowledges their skill. Back at the castle, Victor upgrades Whirly with a carrying compartment for future adventures. The fair cements the villagers’ acceptance of Victor’s inventions, proving that true innovation lies not just in technical skill, but in heart and teamwork.
The initial opening credit is operatic in style with both male and female vocals paying homage to the late 18th century when victor lived and runs to approximately 3 minutes. The closing music has both an element of classic and current music to add a bit of excitement to the end for the listening children.
The story and music itself runs to just over 40 minutes and is narrated in the voice of claire francis, my wife.
I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come
