Listen as thunder claps during the storm, cars race and the bullets fly. Immerse yourself in this full cast, mystery audio novel.
Cassidy Darrow is a gifted young woman with computer programming skills that surpass the average teen. In episode one, Cassidy dives deep into the mysterious death of her neighbor, Sharon Jackson. The adults around her dismiss it as a tragic accident, but Cassidy Darrow is on the case, and she is sure that a tragic accident it is not. She is determined to figure out just exactly what happened the day Mrs. Jackson collapsed in her own home as Cassidy watched helplessly out her bedroom window from across the street. With the help of her (semi) trusted chatbot and (unfortunately) only friend, Andrew, she is determined to get to the bottom of things, even if it could cost her and her family's life.
Murder, mystery, and technology come together to right a wrong and catch a killer.

When you stop running, the past catches up with you.
Detective Erin O’Reilly has never needed anyone to tell her she’s tough. She’s taken the worst New York City can throw at her, surviving gunfights, explosions, mobsters, and serial killers. But now, as she returns from a well-earned vacation, she finds there are some enemies that bullets can’t touch. As she and her K-9 partner Rolf dive into their newest case — a military veteran and his wife murdered in a cold-blooded home invasion — Erin must confront the lingering legacy of trauma.
Violence leaves scars on the flesh and the spirit of victims and perpetrators alike. Plagued by the aftershocks of what she’s already survived, Erin will need to dig deep to struggle through new dangers. In the process she will tear open the wounds of broken men who are back from war but still fighting for their lives and their sanity. But she will soon find that the enemies on the outside are nothing compared to the toughest battle: the struggle for her own soul.

A story that has fact, fiction, espionage, and high drama to make for an entertaining read that keeps the reader captivated for the length of the book. This audiobook fits into this mold perfectly as it has all the making of a thriller coupled with historical facts and a good dose of fiction to keep the reader enthralled and guessing to the very end. A truly delightful piece of writing that takes the listener on a journey back in time to the beginning of the Second World War, just after the Dunkirk evacuation. Winston Churchill was desperate; the German army was ripping its way through Europe, with France about to fall. Adding another world power into the fold was the only option.

ROB MADDEN HAS A SCORE TO SETTLE, AND HE IS SAVING VENGEANCE FOR MAXIMUM IMPACT.
"Do you hear me, Rob? We know who killed your wife and daughters and where they are."
Rob Madden, still holding the cell phone in his shaking hands, tried to grasp what DEA Special Agent Bonnie McCord has just said. Three years ago, his wife and two young daughters were brutally murdered by terrorists as payback for his Special Operations drone strikes on al-Qaeda leaders in Yemen.
For Madden, the call halted his plan to complete his doctorate degree in education and triggered a clandestine mission back to the dusty and dangerous oil fields of Yemen for revenge, courtesy of the United States Air Force. Saving Vengeance will have you on the edge of your seat as the unlikely Special Forces team navigates treacherous encounters and high risk maneuvers to find and punish the killers.
This suspense story is set in dangerous and unstable Yemen in January through December of 2009, well before the Yemen revolution and the Arab Spring. Although this latest adventure of Rob Madden is historical fiction, I have attempted to portray the locale, circumstances, and characters as authentically as possible.
Critical to this story are true, real life terrorist groups that at this period occupied Yemen including: al-Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula, Shi'a Houthis, and the Islamic State (ISIL). All of the terrorists' personal names mentioned on this novel are strictly fictional, but their actions and affiliations are very real. Of note, many of the 176 terrorists released by the Yemeni government were at one time prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and their terroristic acts continue today.
Although many actions and situations described are fictional, our military members, plus our allied partners, face grave dangers everyday attempting to restore peace and stability in the deadly chaos of Yemen.
