Revelations of a Wife is a collection of short stories written 1915-1917 by Adele Garrison.Excerpt:"I WILL BE HAPPY! I WILL! I WILL!" Today we were married. I have said these words over and over to myself, and now I have written them, and the written characters seem as strange to me as the uttered words did.I cannot believe that I, Margaret Spencer, 27 years old, I who laughed and sneered at marriage, justifying myself by the tragedies and unhappiness of scores of my friends, I who have made for myself a place in the world's work with an assured comfortable income, have suddenly thrown all my theories to the winds and given myself in marriage in as impetuous, unreasoning fashion as any foolish schoolgirl.

"The Book" is a story of a guy, who found a worm-riddled book on the coast of the oily black river. There was a list of things to say and do, which the narrator describes as bad and forbidden. It was like an instruction to some gateways of which mystics have always dreamed about. The guy took the book away and it seemed to him, he was followed by someone along the road. His life changed significantly since then, he couldn’t understand anymore what year it was or who was in his house. Dogs started to avoid him as he always was followed by some shadows. He crossed plenty of gateways and traveled other worlds a lot. What adventures did he have? You are going to recognize soon. Read this doom gloomy tale if you are a fan of horror fiction and fantasy genres.A SmartTouch Media production.
