Born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England on 3 January 1944, Philip Carter's first book, Take the IQ Challenge, was published in 1986. He has since authored and co-authored over 100 titles, both for adults and children, covering all aspects of testing, crosswords, puzzles, reasoning and other brain building material.
