Marcus Tullius Cicero
Marcus Tullius Cicero was born in 106 BC to a statesman and orator in Arpino, Italy, a small town outside of Rome, during the late Roman republic. Cicero, along with his brother, were placed under the instruction of Archias, a Greek poet. Cicero studied law and then spent a short time as a soldier under Pompeius Strabo.
