Synopsis

'I straighten her little tiara every morning – I lift her chin and remind her that she is meant for greater things than playground bullies.'

'Everything shines in its own time. There is no timetable for life. Timetables are for classrooms, not for people.'
These are just some of the wisdoms shared on The Village, South Africa's beloved Facebook group for parents raising tweens, teens and young adults.
Having kids is a baffling endeavour beset with sulk, meltdowns, anxiety and disappointment – and that's just the parents! When you get that call to the principal's office? When the school acceptances don't come? When the bedroom door slams and you hear your child sobbing behind it? All awful but it's also a precious time.
The trick? To find a way to enjoy our families, love our children and believe in them and ourselves despite the daily challenges. And laugh . . .
In this book, Vanessa Raphaely and Karin Schimke have gathered together life lessons and insights from The Village members. It contains the gems and remedies from the real parenting experts – the parents – to help you raise your family in your own perfectly imperfect way.

With an easy-to-reference directory of US apprenticeship programs by industry and geography, Craig’s Apprentice Nation is an accessible blueprint for a country where young Americans of all backgrounds can launch careers in tech, healthcare, finance, and more—without losing four critical, career-building years and tens of thousands to college tuition and student loans. With just a few common-sense changes to education and workforce development, an apprentice nation will place the American Dream within reach—for everyone.

The COVID-19 pandemic created panic all around the world, but was it what we were made to believe, or was there a political agenda hidden behind all the restrictions?
In A Plague Upon Our House, Dr. Scott W. Atlas details his couple months as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. Politics had taken over science long before Atlas got there, and while he tried to bring back logic and critical thinking into decision-making, he had little impact. He discusses his views of the science behind the lockdowns and mask mandates - the science medical professionals on his team refused to believe. He sheds light on the politics behind every strategy implemented, and the utter chaos that ensued due to the contradictions in the media.
