Gritty...shocking...trueTop Girl is the tell-all, true story of a grammar school girl turned county lines drug dealer.Danielle has a safe, happy childhood growing up in West London, but her bright future fades as she turns her back on school for gang life and crime.Betrayed by the police after a brutal gang rape, she finds protection under the wing of organised criminals and falls in love with the local ‘top boy’.However, her allegiances bring terror to her doorstep when gun-toting rivals target her flat – and the authorities answer by taking away her baby.Heartbroken, Danielle spirals deeper into gang life and becomes a key player in a sprawling county lines operation, running drugs to satellite towns all over the UK from the gang’s London HQ.The Harrods shopping sprees, designer handbags and hedonistic lifestyle are the envy of her friends, but the good times and cash mask the grim realities of her life.A turning point comes when Danielle is arrested and – with the help of a probation officer – she begins to question whether she really is ‘top girl’ after all. But after five years deep in the high-earning street hustle, can she really leave it all behind?Danielle’s gritty, emotional, no-holds-barred memoir lays bare the reality of a county lines insider and reveals the truth about life on the frontline of Britain’s biggest drug threat for a generation.

He walked on the face of the earth over 2000 years ago and changed human history for time and eternity. Nearly 2.4 billion Christians know him as Jesus Christ, Son of God, Son of Man and Savior of the world. Other billions recognize him as a great prophet and philosopher. Drawing from the four gospel accounts and using “sanctified imagination”, this book chronicles the incredible life of Jesus. It tells the story of His miraculous conception and birth; his childhood; his magnificent ministry with a band of 12 ordinary men and his death and glorious resurrection. This book presents an easy-to-read, novelized life of the most famous man that ever lived. It is written for Christians and non-Christians alike and tells the story of Jesus as the Son of Man, without diminishing his unique heritage as the Son of God. Perhaps when you get to know “The Man of Galilee”, you would also seek “The Prince of Peace.” If you know Jesus already, I hope this book will be an entertaining reminder of what he went through on behalf of all of us.

Quiet your mind, and the silence will help you hear your inner voice—the one that says, “Stay strong enough to forgive, to heal, and to have hope.”
In her stirring, vulnerable new memoir, Karena Dawn reveals what it was like to grow up with a mother suffering from severe mental health issues, and how, during her teenage years, she desperately tried to escape her own inner demons. Addicted to pain-numbing drugs and crippled by severe depression, Karena learned how to use grief as a teacher, releasing herself from guilt and shame and finding the inner strength to go from abandonment to forgiveness, from hopelessness to healing.
Karena’s bold and brave memoir shows us how staying silent about mental illness only reinforces the stigma. At the heart of her story is the eternal struggle we all share—how to move past the pain and suffering of our personal battles to experience life’s joys. Through the healing power of nature, meditation, and fitness, Karena was able to forge a path to self-discovery and find peace.
Ultimately, The Big Silence reveals how a journey of self-love can lead to a renewed sense of identity and a life filled with hope and optimism.
PLEASE NOTE: The audiobook edition is read by Karena Dawn and features additional anecdotes and conversations that are exclusive to The Big Silence audiobook:
    - Karena sits down with therapist Vasavi Kumar for “Therapy Sessions” after each part in the book, where she answers questions and decompresses about topics in the book.
    - Includes original poetry read by Rachel Sahaidachny.

"Minnie Pallister is one of those women who has been woefully missing from Welsh history. Now she is rightfully restored to her position as a significant figure in twentieth-century women's and labour activism, thanks to Alun Burge's meticulous research and compelling account of her courageous life story. Read on…" – Angela V. John
Minnie Pallister's life was so fantastic that not even a thriller writer could imagine it. A feminist, pacifist and socialist, she was twice accused of sedition in the First World War before travelling to Nazi Germany in late 1938 and 1939 to rescue Jews, helping bring them to Britain at the outbreak of the Second World War. In between, having reached national prominence in the labour movement, in which she was considered the best woman orator, and with a Parliamentary career beckoning, she was struck down by an illness which cruelly robbed her of speech. Suffering years of paralysing infirmity, which reduced her to the edge of penury, she eventually recovered to become a successful journalist with the Daily Mirror and the Daily Herald.
Fearless and principled and always challenging, not least in advocating gender equality, Pallister was initially barred from a position with the BBC because of her socialist politics, and later twice banned by the Corporation, first for her pacifist then her feminist politics. An outstanding broadcaster who became for a time a household name, she was a regular contributor to Woman's Hour and as an advocate of women's rights from the 1920s to the 1950s, she was a forerunner of the Women's Liberation Movement. Pallister was such a compelling figure that her 'Life Story' was serialised on radio over five days during her lifetime.

    Why Bushwick Bill Matters

In 1989 the Geto Boys released a blistering track, “Size Ain’t Shit,” that paid tribute to the group’s member Bushwick Bill. Born with dwarfism, Bill was one of the few visibly disabled musicians to achieve widespread fame and one of the even fewer to address disability in a direct, sustained manner. Initially hired as a dancer, Bill became central to the Geto Boys as the Houston crew became one of hip-hop’s most important groups.

Why Bushwick Bill Matters chronicles this crucial artist and explores what he reveals about the relationships among race, sex, and disability in pop music. Charles L. Hughes examines Bill's recordings and videos (both with the Geto Boys and solo), from the horror-comic persona of “Chuckie” to vulnerable verses in songs such as “Mind Playing Tricks On Me,” to discuss his portrayals of dwarfism, addiction, and mental illness. Hughes also explores Bill’s importance to his era and to the longer history of disability in music. A complex figure, Bill exposed the truths of a racist and ableist society even as his violent and provocative lyrics put him in the middle of debates over censorship and misogyny. Confrontational and controversial, Bushwick Bill left a massive legacy as he rhymed and swaggered through an often-inaccessible world.
