They currently reside in New Jersey, where they continue to write and connect with fellow poets and readers. This collection, Shadows & Luminescence A Tapestry of Poems, is a testament to Vadim Chervin 's enduring passion for poetry and their ability to capture the essence of contemporary life in verse.
My poems beautifully capture a profound emotional connection through the motif of inner eyes, representing depth, understanding, and an unspoken bond. The imagery is vivid and evokes a sense of tranquility and intense focus, with the eyes serving as an anchor in moments of turmoil.
The structure of my poems, with their mix of contemplation and exclamation, mirrors the fluctuating emotional states I describe. You seamlessly weave everyday with the extraordinary, highlighting how significant moments can arise amidst the routine. The recurring image of inner eyes—not just as a visual but as a gateway to deeper connection—adds a layer of intimacy and intensity.
The final stanzas shift towards a more conceptual reflection, suggesting a philosophical exploration of love and connection, framed through the inner eyes. It's both personal and universal, inviting readers to consider how their relationships provide stability and inspiration.
Overall, my poem offers a rich tapestry of emotion and thought, rendered through the simple yet profound image of love, thinking and imagination. It's an ode to thoughts power to center and transform us, beautifully articulated through my verse.

In You have no normal country to return to, Tom Sastry explores questions of national identity and 'the end of history'. A blistering, bleakly funny and timely second poetry collection, following his Seamus Heaney First Collection Prize shortlisted, A Man's House Catches Fire.
By turns crisply satirical and questioning, You have no normal country toreturn to ranges across the legacies of Empire, postwar migration and the current crisis in English identity. Sastry's precise, brilliantly attuned poetry asks how the times we live in and the tales we tell about them affect us; how our emotional landscapes are shaped by national myths and the more personal stories we tell about ourselves. It is a book about illusion, and discovering, again and again, that what was once taken for granted was never really there; a guidebook for an age of "enchantments collapsing on themselves".

"Stories From The Faerie Queene" is a retelling or abridged version of Edmund Spenser's epic poem "The Faerie Queene," which is a richly imaginative allegorical work dedicated to celebrating the Tudor dynasty and Elizabeth I. The poem, originally published in the late 16th century, weaves tales of knights, dragons, maidens, and quests to represent virtues and human struggles. The stories within are adaptations of Spenser's intricate stanzas into prose or shorter narratives that make the text more accessible while maintaining its magical and moral complexity.

I currently reside in Texas where I have established my home and lead a solitary life. I am a 28-year survivor of HIV which I contracted through a blood transfusion while serving in the military in 1983, following an oral surgery procedure. In my retirement, I have dedicated my time to fishing, engaging in home improvement projects, and pursuing my long-standing passion for writing songs and poems which I have honed over a period of 35 years.
As an individual imbued with a strong sense of spirit, I believe that all of us possess an innate potential for compassion, albeit to varying degrees. Through my poetry, I seek to convey this inherent quality to those who may not be fully aware of it, but who need gentle reminders that they too are capable of empathy. I trust that my literary works will bring peace of mind and awareness to individuals navigating the stresses of our fast-paced, ephemeral existence, and provide solace by imbuing hope for a better tomorrow, informed by my personal experiences. Ultimately, my objective is to leave behind a brief legacy that inspires others to connect with their humanity and the compassion that resides within them.
