This is a concise summary and analysis of The Burning God, by R.F. Kuang. It is not the original book and is not affiliated with or endorsed by R.F. Kuang. Ideal for those seeking a quick and insightful overview.

In The Burning God, the saga reaches its electrifying finale as Rin—once an orphan fighting for recognition—grapples with the fierce power she has unleashed. Worn by guilt and haunted by the weight of past victories, she now stands at the center of an empire on the brink of collapse. Betrayals loom at every turn, and her divine abilities threaten to consume both her and the shattered world she seeks to save.

This audiobook plunges you into a realm where battles are as much internal as they are against rival armies. Epic clashes, tense alliances, and a heroine torn between vengeance and redemption set the stage for a breathtaking conclusion. With each twist, The Burning God challenges our notions of sacrifice, ambition, and the cost of power—ultimately revealing that sometimes the greatest wars are waged within our own hearts.

Abbey Ilori, a Lagos-based student teacher, is posted to Abagboro Community High School, a secondary school in a remote village far from his home and all he is used to for his teaching practice, which formed part of the requirements for his university degree in post-primary education.
Abbey must cope with teaching English to local children who speak nothing but their dialect and, at the same time, endure the rudiments of living in a village. There, he meets Toro, another student teacher from another state, and they develop a close bond.
But new arrivals of four graduates on the National Youth Service Corps program will change the colors of Abbey’s stay and successful completion of his program in Abagboro village. Throw in Abbey’s infatuation with one of his beautiful students, Bisi, and the intrigues that surround the girl makes Tisha a beautiful tale of survival in the toughest terrains, a touch of romance, and a daunting race against evil men.

The Psychic Megan Series consists of twenty-three novelettes about a young girl`s growing realisation that she is able to do things that none of her family can. Megan is twelve years old in the first volume. She has two seemingly insurmountable problems. Her mother is frightened of her daughter`s latent abilities and not only will not help her but actively discourages her; and she can’t find a teacher to help her develop her supernatural, psychic powers. For she wants not only to know what it is possible to do and how to do it, but to what end she should put her special abilities. Megan is a good girl, so it would seem obvious that she would tend towards using her powers for good, but it is not always easy to do the right thing even if you know what that is.
These stories about Megan will appeal to anyone who has an interest in psychic powers, the supernatural and the paranormal and is between the ages of ten and a hundred years old.

This audiobook contains what I call my “Africanesque Folktales”. They appear in my audio and print book “Remembering Your Ancestral Fire” and are all original compositions of mine. My teacher, Grand Master Drummer Mamady Keïta said about them, quote:
“Taylor’s folktales draw from his experiences with me and his times in Africa. They contain the stuff of folktales of old. They are a wonderful interpretation of African tradition.” All of my stories are sourced from my decades of study with the djembe, my teachers, especially Mamady Keïta, and my numerous times traveling to Guinea, West Africa. The names are based on a
ctual people I’ve known or heard of; the places, on actual places. The sounds you hear in the village were field recordings I did when I was there. I have and continue to create these Africanesque folktales, but there is a trilogy I created that represent origin, duality and plurality, which are presented in this short audiobook.
