Synopsis

Jenny Sears, a hard-working, divorced mother of two, is a strong-minded, independent woman succeeding in the tough business world of London, 1900. Captain Nick Blackburn, badly wounded in action, has just returned home, though he has no memory of who he is, just where 'home' might be. A twenty-year veteran of the London Police, Wilfred Pool has dealt with the worst, most vicious criminals the city has to offer. Increasingly weary, cynical, he is thrust into a new investigation involving a rash of gruesome murders resulting from the appearance of a precious 'Black Diamond' within the underworld realm he knows all too well. When Jenny is caught up in an abrupt, violent encounter with her current suitor, a volatile gypsy named Felice, to her astonishment she is helped, protected by a randomly passing Nick Blackburn, a man she was once deeply involved with years ago, but who now doesn't recognise her, has no idea even who he is himself. Ruthlessly pursued by Felice, himself a prime suspect in Pool's investigation of the Black Diamond killings, Jenny finds her life starkly threatened by the suddenly treacherous present, at the same time unexpectedly confronted with the uncertain reappearance of a ghost from her past, a man forgotten in every sense of the word.

The BRAND-NEW penultimate instalment in Stephanie Harte's gripping, gritty gangland series, perfect for fans of Mobland, House of Guinness and Peaky Blinders, from the bestselling author of Double Trouble.
The O'Connors and the Kelly’s have an old score to settle
    London, 1985
Orla O’Connor has spent her entire life trying to escape the weight of her family name. Raised on one brutal rule — blood comes first — she knows the O’Connors never forget betrayal, and they never forgive it. Grudges are inherited like family heirlooms, passed down through generations soaked in violence and revenge.
When a long-buried feud between the O’Connors and the Kellys erupts once again, Orla finds herself trapped between loyalty to her family and a dangerous love that could destroy everything. Shay Quigley has already pulled her into a world of secrets, bloodshed, and impossible choices, where trust is fragile and feelings are deadlier than enemies.
As tensions rise and war looms closer, Orla must choose between the life expected of her and the future she desperately wants. But with a baby depending on her, every decision carries devastating consequences — because in her world, loyalty can be the most lethal weapon of all.

The call comes at dawn. Three words. Come to Pompeii.
Marcus Russo has spent his career excavating the past. He has never been afraid of what he might find—until now.
The chamber shouldn't exist. Neither should what's painted on its walls. The seven-petaled rose. The geometric cross. The unmistakable iconography of Rosicrucian tradition, preserved beneath two millennia of volcanic ash—etched into Roman plaster nearly fifteen centuries before the brotherhood claims to have been born. The discovery doesn't just rewrite history. It destroys a myth that powerful men have killed to protect.
Marcus is still photographing the evidence when the first threat arrives.
The Fraternitas Rosae Crucis Aeternae has survived the Inquisition, two world wars, and the fall of empires. It did not survive four hundred years by tolerating witnesses. Within hours, Marcus's team is being followed. Within days, one of them is dead. And the man responsible for burying the original secret—a Roman philosopher named Gaius Petronius Harmonia, who chose concealment over legacy when Vesuvius buried Pompeii in AD 79—left behind one final message that the Fraternitas will do anything to intercept.
What follows is a chase across three continents. Pompeii to the Vatican. Vienna to the shadowed archives of Istanbul. At every turn, Marcus is one step ahead of people who have been doing this far longer than he has—and one wrong answer away from disappearing entirely.
Petronius didn't seal his chamber to preserve a teaching. He sealed it to contain one.
Some secrets aren't buried because they're dangerous. They're buried because the truth, if it ever surfaced, would bring everything built on top of it crashing down.
The Pompeian Betrayal—the third novel in the Vatican Archaeology Thrillers series. The past is patient. But the people guarding it are not.
