The occultist should gain hold over these functions in order to overcome the effects of the cardinal signs. The fixed signs govern the emotions and the desires of man. Wish, desire, anger, aversion, attraction and repulsion are governed by these signs. The behaviour nature of man which lies beyond the control of his intelligence and understanding comes under their control.
