The Sixties was an iconic decade, conjuring images of marked generational conflict and “sex, drugs and rock-n-roll”, but also of the Second Vatican Council (1962–5), the “permissive” legislation and Britain’s counter-culture, as well as the social transformations of the period encompassing ecumenism, the advent of the women’s movement and the beginning of the Troubles.

Better known as the creator of the BBC television series Captain Pugwash, John Ryan (1921–2009), through his weekly illustrations in the Catholic Herald, offered a topical interrogation of the British Catholic Church’s sometimes adaptive, though often inflexible responses to the changes and challenges of the period. This collection of Ryan’s cartoons provides a personal portrait of the extraordinary ups and downs of religion in the Sixties—encompassing the machinations of popes and cardinals, the testimony of expert witnesses, runaway priests, radical reformists and lay protest movements.

"Aesop's Fables have been cherished for generations, imparting timeless wisdom through delightful animal tales. Let me share a couple of these fables with you: The Tortoise and the Hare: In this classic fable, a speedy hare challenges a slow-moving tortoise to a race. Overconfident, the hare takes a nap during the race, while the persistent tortoise keeps plodding along. To everyone's surprise, the tortoise wins the race, teaching us that steady effort often triumphs over reckless speed. The Boy Who Cried Wolf: A young shepherd boy amuses himself by falsely shouting, "Wolf!" to trick the villagers. When a real wolf appears and threatens the sheep, the boy cries for help, but the villagers no longer believe him. The moral? Honesty and integrity matter, and false alarms erode trust. Remember, these fables hold valuable lessons that resonate across cultures and time."

"Global Dictator Handbook" is a satirical, dystopian narrative that uses humor to critique the extreme nature of dictatorship. It serves as a cautionary tale about the erosion of freedoms and rights, reminding readers to cherish their freedom and autonomy.
This book's exaggerated scenarios and tongue-in-cheek comedy make it a compelling read for those interested in playfully educating themselves and others about the authoritarian regime that openly states its desire to enslave the entire world under the guise of a global credit score.
The "triple threat title" that this book offers are:
     1. That you will be enslaved by the New World Order.
    2. That The New World Order will be overthrown and judged by you.
    3. That the God of the Bible has already won every battle and would love your voluntary alignment with his will as the Author and Finisher of all stories.
I pray this satire invites you to invite and trust him, who is faithful and proves that he is outside of our time domain by writing history in advance.
The biblical prophetic commentary that we eventually run into is that of my best understanding as an author, and I reserve the right to be wrong about everything. I encourage anybody to search out these things for themselves and make their own convictions about biblical, government and world events.
Master FEWNU, The personification of the one million billionaires who plan to enslave the 8 billion global residents, is my playful, creative way of personifying the road to hell that was paved by (some) good intentions of people who nobody voted for.
Cheers to your playful reverse psychology education!

Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Looper, 500 Days of Summer) made a big splash with The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories—so now he’s back with volume 2! One of the most ingenious and successful projects to come out of Gordon-Levitt's online creative coalition hitRECord—an international collaboration of artists and writers—The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 2 offers more quirky, delightfully small, ingeniously illustrated haiku-like tales, proving once more that the universe isn’t made of atoms; it’s made of tiny stories. The best things do come in small packages.

Like Wuthering Heights, the center of this story is a dramatic love triangle, the setting is a huge English manor. Olivia Marchmont has always "done her duty." However, when she falls in love and her beloved is in love with another woman, the malice of her heart is released in full view. In this dramatic tale, the vivid description of the country is also important- as if nature has a part in it. Unlike many novels, nobody gets what they deserve at the end. Or do they? Read and decide for yourself.
