Synopsis

The most important woman writer of Elizabethan England, Mary Sidney produced innovative poems, with complex metres, while promoting the legacy of her brother Sir Philip Sidney. The Sidneys were influenced by Continental writers, seeking to bring new forms, techniques and themes to England. Her most celebrated work is a metric translation of the ‘Book of Psalms’, completing a project her brother had started. Winning the admiration of Jonson, Donne and Milton, Mary Sidney’s poetry employs numerous verse forms, significant for metrical variety, as well as graceful content. Recent scholarship has re-evaluated her literary achievements, revealing how influential she was for future women writers. The Delphi Poets Series offers readers the works of literature’s finest poets, with superior formatting. This volume presents Mary Sidney’s complete works, with related illustrations and the usual Delphi bonus material. (Version 1)

Riders to the Sea: A mother and her daughters are dealing with a familial curse that seems to cause all of the men in the family to die. Anxieties come to a peak when the last, remaining son is getting ready to ride out to sea in order to try and provide for his family.
Shadow of the Glen: A contemplative Drama in One Act about how a women's integrity can be unjustly scrutinized through hearsay and speculation, and how forcing those opinions out into the open can have disastrous consequences for everyone involved.
The Tinker's Wedding: A story of two young tinkers trying to con a travelling holy man into marrying them, all while their mother is constantly trying to satiate her indomitable thirst for drink, thereby inadvertently causing more problems than the drink is worth. Blaming, miscommunication, and utter tomfoolery ensues, leading to the final culmination of each party getting ready to pounce on each other's necks and outrageously strangle each other Saturday-morning-cartoon style.
The Well of the Saints: A blind couple regains their sight only to realize they hate the look of one another. Hilarity and pigheadedness ensues.
Deirdre, a woman of immeasurable beauty, is betrothed/condemned to the King of Ulster, Conchubar. But in true mythological fashion, there is a prophecy which prevents this--. Loyalty, familial ties, and unadulterated love will be strained and broken, with only one question remaining: Who will be left to admire the beauty and sorrow of life?
Playboy of the Western World: A young traveler has come from out of town boasting that he's committed patricide, which, rather than ostracizing him, causes many women of the town to become morbidly curious about this young man, including the prettiest girl in town and the quite newly vivacious widow. But what happens when the supposedly dead father shows up in town to whoop his son into submission?

Life in Yellow is a collection of free-verse poetry that tries to capture the life of a writer, who lives in a world where trends, colors, fashion, and technology are changing very fast, and where the meaning of life changes from one year to the next.He lives on Earth in an alternate future and is a well-known author of fiction prose and free-verse poetry living in the United States of All Colors. Contacted by a literary agent that lived more than a hundred light-years from him, he agrees to write a poem book that describes the society in which he lives, for substantial compensation. Our main character describes his experiences with his shifted perceptions of what sometimes seems an almost surreal world, where people live out-of-time feelings, foresee the future in short glimpses, and blend reality with the digital world. Most of all, enjoy a world that praises fashion, art, and colors.Enjoy another original concept poetry book from the Timeless Adventures series.

Disorderly Magic and Other Disturbances is a pop meditation on a number of themes: speed, delirium and distance, disillusion, urbanity, various manifestations of the idea of the wilderness and the wasteland, madness, dissolution, memory, mourning, forgetting, hauntology, hauntings, rapid transits, the non-existent, and conjuring the future. The work mixes magic, culture, mystery, memoir, history, melodrama - it is an invocation, an evocation, with dreamlike freedom of movement between past and present, from personal to universal.
