Dramatis Personae is a four part autobiographic collection, published by Yeats in 1936 and detailing incidents, events, and people he met who influenced his artistic development as a poet.

The first section is Dramatis Personae and describes Yeats' meetings with Lady Augusta Gregory at Coole Park, Galway, which eventually led to the creation of the Irish National Theatre Society and the opening of the Abbey Theatre in 1904.

The second section, Estrangement, deals with Yeat's anxiety that his works were not accessible to their intended audience, the Irish people. Yeats came from a wealthy Anglo-Irish Protestant family but became a committed nationalist, attracted to Celtic mysticism, legends and folklore. Nonetheless he lamented that, as part of the elite and an intellectual artist, he felt aloof from the common Irish Catholic population who were largely indifferent to his work.

The third section, The Death Of Synge, describes Yeats' association with John Millington Synge, the child of a wealthy Anglo-Irish Protestant family. Yeats encouraged Synge to travel to the Aran Islands to study the Irish peasants and fishermen who lived there and to use them as inspiration for his work.

In the fourth and final section, The Bounty Of Sweden, Yeats' pays tribute to Sweden for awarding him with the Nobel Peace Prize for Literature in 1923. The award was given to Yeats in the period immediately after the end of the Irish Civil War when the Irish Free State emerged as a newly independent nation. Yeats sought to use the event to establish himself as the cultural representative of Irish independence and Irish nationalism.

The inspiring and thrilling combat memoir of the only Army Ranger serving in direct combat operations with a prosthetic limb.On October 3, 2005, Kapacziewski and his soldiers were coming to the end of their tour in Northern Iraq when their convoy was attacked by enemy fighters. A grenade fell through the gunner's hatch and exploded, shattering Kapacziewski's right leg below the knee, damaging his right hip, and severing a nerve and artery in his right arm.He endured more than forty surgeries, but his right leg still wasn't healing as he had hoped, so in March 2007, Kapacziewski chose to have it amputated with one goal in mind: to return to the line and serve alongside his fellow Rangers. One year after his surgery, Kapacziewski accomplished his goal: he was put back on the line, as a squad leader of his Army Ranger Regiment. On April 19, 2010, during his ninth combat deployment (and fifth after losing his leg), Kapacziewski's patrol ran into an ambush outside a village in eastern Afghanistan. After a fellow Ranger fell to withering enemy fire, shot through the belly, Sergeant Kap and another soldier dragged him seventy-five yards to safety and administered first aid that saved his life while heavy machineguns tried to kill them. His actions earned him an Army Commendation Medal with "V" for Valor. He had previously been awarded a Bronze Star for Valor—and a total of three Purple Hearts for combat wounds.Back in the Fight is an inspiring and thrilling tale readers will never forget.

Shinto, often referred to as "the way of the gods," is Japan's indigenous spiritual tradition, rich in rituals, beliefs, and practices that have evolved over centuries. Unlike many organized religions, Shinto does not have a single founder or a unified doctrine; instead, it is a diverse amalgamation of ancient animistic beliefs, reverence for nature, and deep respect for ancestral spirits. This uniqueness allows Shinto to seamlessly blend with other spiritual practices, particularly Buddhism, which has coexisted with it for over a millennium.
At the heart of Shinto is the concept of kami, the spirits or deities that inhabit all aspects of the natural world. These kami are not limited to grand gods; they can also include the spirits of mountains, rivers, trees, and even objects. This belief fosters a profound connection between individuals and their environment, promoting an ethos of harmony and respect for nature. Rituals and practices in Shinto are designed to honor these kami, ensuring their favor and maintaining the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world.
Throughout Japan’s history, Shinto has played a significant role in shaping cultural identity, national consciousness, and social customs. The tradition has influenced art, literature, and festivals, providing a lens through which to understand the values and beliefs of the Japanese people. From the serene beauty of shrine architecture to the vibrant celebrations of seasonal festivals, Shinto permeates daily life and cultural expression.
In this book, we will explore the historical development of Shinto, its core beliefs and practices, the significance of kami and rituals, and the interplay between Shinto and other religious traditions.
