Summary

Twenty-five is so unique, let it be the only number you ever use.
What is so special about twenty-five? because I chose it.

And so it is in life, whatever you decide is unique will be.
You only need to say it and agree, and watch the world join you and say yes,
indeed, you are right, twenty-five is truly special.

Always remember this: you are capable of making anything unique; you are powerful.

Sole is a collection of incredible and mind-blowing poems, with life lessons for you to live to fullness and be free.

It is true that a good number of people believe in greatness, but only a few understand that achieving it could depend on the extent to which you want it.

You can not have greatness without first yearning for it. Greatness happens to only those who desire to live great and go on the journey to achieving it.
Do you genuinely yearn for greatness or assume that distinction is meant for a selected few?

No one is born to leave a mark of greatness; whether rich or not, it is our responsibility to make great things happen to us; and you must first understand this.
Available since: 09/30/2022.
Print length: 16 pages.

The editor of the volume Made in the Trenches includes these poignant notes:Corporal Streets, in submitting these sonnets some months ago, wrote: "They express not only my feelings but the feelings of thousands of others who, like myself, are on the verge of departure from England."Cpl. Streets, in a letter accompanying later poems, also wrote: "They were inspired while I was in the trenches, where I have been so busy that I have had little time to polish them. I have tried to picture some thoughts that pass through a man's brain when he dies. I may not see the end of the poems, but hope to live to do so. We soldiers have our views of life to express, though the boom of death is in our ears. We try to convey something of what we feel in this great conflict to those who think of us, and sometimes, alas! mourn our loss. We desire to let them know that in the midst of our keenest sadness for the joy of life we leave behind we go to meet death grim-lipped, clear-eyed, and resolute-hearted."He didn't survive, killed in action on 1st July 1916. - Summary by Ruth Golding

A rich and challenging new collection from the young award-winning poet.In those days I began to see light under everybushel basket, light nearly splittingthe sides of the bushel basket. Light camethrough the rafters of the dairy where the gracklescongregated like well-taxed citizensuntransfigured even by hope. Understand I was the oneunderneath the basket. I was certain I had nothing to say. When I grew restless in the interior, the exterior gave.
Dense, rich, and challenging, Katie Peterson's A Piece of Good News explores interior and exterior landscapes, exposure, and shelter. Imbued with a hallucinatory poetic logic where desire, anger, and sorrow supplant intelligence and reason, these poems are powerful meditations of mourning, love, doubt, political citizenship, and happiness. Learned, wise, and witty, Peterson explodes the possibilities of the poetic voice in this remarkable and deeply felt collection.

Peter and Debbie are enjoying a cruise – a celebration of twenty years of marriage, and a break from their annoying teenagers. They befriend fellow passenger, Elsa Jean Krakowski, an eccentric American with a fondness for Donald Trump. There's something slightly unsettling in her overeager friendliness... but there's no point rocking the boat if you're about to get off it.
Back home, in the comfort of suburbia, Elsa suddenly turns up on Peter and Debbie's doorstep, unexpectedly. And when they look up their house guest online, unearthing some hair-raising evidence, their good nature is challenged as never before. What kind of danger have they allowed to take up residence in their guest room? And can they bring themselves to say anything about it? Sometimes, the truth is just too impolite.
Steven Moffat's play The Unfriend takes a hilarious and satirical look at middle-class England's disastrous instinct always to appear nice. It was first performed at the Minerva Theatre, Chichester, in May 2022, directed by Mark Gatiss, with a cast including Amanda Abbington, Frances Barber and Reece Shearsmith.

A dazzling full-length collection of verse from one of the leading poets of our time.
Over the past two decades, jessica Care moore has become a cultural force as a poet, performer, publisher, activist, and critic. Reflecting her transcendent electric voice, this searing poetry collection is filled with moving, original stanzas that speak to both Black women’s creative and intellectual power, and express the pain, sadness, and anger of those who suffer constant scrutiny because of their gender and race. Fierce and passionate, Jessica Care moore argues that Black women spend their lives building a physical and emotional shelter to protect themselves from misogyny, criminalization, hatred, stereotypes, sexual assault, objectification, patriarchy, and death threats.
We Want Our Bodies Back is an exploration—and defiant stance against—these many attacks.

The last of Lovecraft's prose poems. One of the least-known works of the writer. It appeared in the same issue of "The National Amateur" as Hypnos.A tale of a dreamer who, at a certain moment, discovers that a completely different perspective unfolds before him than in his previous dreams. The space that was limited until now suddenly presents entirely unknown vistas. Following the allure of the seen "lotus-faces," he reaches a place where beauty and grandeur will give way to horror."What the Moon Brings" is a record of Lovecraft's dream.

From one of theater’s most outrageous comic talents, two plays—one a Pulitzer Prize in Drama finalist, the other a twisted take on Christmas classics.

In this book, Christopher Durang, the criminally funny author of Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All for You, presents two plays about death, religion, and a creamy Christmas pudding. In Miss Witherspoon—named one of the Ten Best Plays of 2005 by both Time and Newsday—Veronica, a recent suicide whose cantankerous attitude has not improved in the afterlife, discovers that the one thing worse than the world she left behind is having to go back for seconds. Ordered to cleanse her “brown tweedy aura,” Veronica resists being reincarnated (as a trailer-trash teen or an overexcited Golden Retriever), only to find that she may be mankind’s last, best hope for survival.

In Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge, a sassy ghost once again attempts to shake Scrooge from his holiday humbug, but the whole family-friendly affair is deliciously derailed by Mrs. Cratchit’s drunken insistence on stepping out of her miserable, treacly role. Morals are subverted, starving yet plucky children sing carols, and somebody’s goose is cooked as Durang lovingly skewers A Christmas Carol, It’s a Wonderful Life, and many more to create a brand-new, cracked Christmas classic.
