  Sound waves are a fundamental aspect of physics, representing mechanical vibrations that travel through a medium. Unlike electromagnetic waves, which can propagate through the vacuum of space, sound waves require a material medium such as air, water, or solid substances. These waves are generated when an object vibrates, causing nearby particles in the medium to oscillate. As these particles move back and forth, they transfer energy to adjacent particles, creating a propagating wave of compression and rarefaction. This process continues outward from the source, allowing sound to travel over distances. 
  The two primary types of waves in physics are transverse and longitudinal waves. Sound waves fall into the category of longitudinal waves, meaning that the oscillations of the particles occur parallel to the direction of wave propagation. In contrast, transverse waves, such as water waves and electromagnetic waves, involve oscillations perpendicular to their direction of movement. In a sound wave, regions of compression correspond to areas where particles are densely packed together, while regions of rarefaction represent areas where the particles are spread apart. This alternating pattern of compression and rarefaction allows the wave to carry energy without transporting matter itself.

  Several years ago, I was approached by Carolyn Wyman, author of “The Great American Chocolate Chip Cookie Book” to write a book about Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies.  I am co-founder of Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies with my husband, but no one starts a company alone.  I told her that Otis Spunkmeyer was about many things besides cookies, and I wrote stories to prove it.  Carolyn agreed, indicating my most fascinating stories had nothing to do with cookies.  She suggested I compile my “you can’t make this up” stories of improbable possibilities.  
  My entrepreneurial stories are of Robert C. Brown and Company, investment advisors, and Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies and Burritos.  Triple 888 Manufacturing, the sheet metal company that created the oven to bake Otis Spunkmeyer cookies.  Sentimental Journeys, the DC3 airline that promoted Otis Spunkmeyer.  New Shoes, Old Souls Dance Company, Yoga Garden Dancers, Heterodoxy Magazine, and George Magazine.  Yes, I did meet with John F. Kennedy Jr., to incubate George.  I also took Joe DiMaggio to Las Vegas and Van Morrison sang “Moondance” to me.  Albert Einstein is one of my heroes.  I have daughters.  These narratives are a memorialization of my improbable possibilities.  My spaghetti-walling spirit propagated waves. 
  The most powerful quantum computers can’t negotiate infinite waves of possibilities.  Artificial intelligence generates probable possibilities.  Human intelligence imagines improbable possibilities.  Artificial intelligence exists on codes and algorithms.  Human intelligence is nurtured by thinking with thoughtfulness.  It actualizes imagination, and spaghetti-walls improbable possibilities. 
  This is not a treatise on mindfulness.  It is not an AI bashing, or a self-help book.  Primarily, I am spaghetti-walling this book to entertain you.  I’ve been determined to make waves.

  When I mentioned to my friends my desire to own a female robot, I got the most peculiar responses from them. Firstly, their eyes would light up from the shock. Then they whinnied like a horse laughing. And would slowly back away from me regarding me suspiciously as they did so. 
  A man like me must be careful when he enters old age because people treat you like an imbecile who’s trying to relive his youth by having the audacity to let ideas wander around aimlessly in his head. To some people, old age is frowned upon as a disability. 
  When the day came for me to decide to purchase the robot online, people send my wife wouldn’t allow me to have such a toy. She gave me a lecture on how retired people should act and bringing a female robot into her house was not the act of a sane old fart. “I forbid you having such idle nonsense.” 
  I pressed down hard on the “order now” button and awaited the outcome…
