Synopsis

What really happened after the fall of Rome?

The Dark Ages Collection brings together classic historical writings that explore one of the most mysterious and transformative periods in human history. Spanning the collapse of the Roman Empire to the rise of medieval Europe, this collection examines how societies survived, adapted, and rebuilt in an age of upheaval and change.

Through chronicles, scholarly essays, and historical narratives by respected authors, these works illuminate the political, cultural, and religious forces that shaped the early Middle Ages. Far from a time of simple decline, the Dark Ages emerge here as a complex era of transition, innovation, and enduring influence.

    BLADE RUNNER
THE ULTIMATE TRIVIA AND CURIOUS FACTS COLLECTION

    CREATED BY TRIVIA HUB

Blade Runner is a 1982 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott, adapted from Philip K. Dick's novel. Set in a dystopian 2019 Los Angeles, it follows Rick Deckard, a "blade runner," who hunts bio-engineered replicants. The film, starring Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer, explores themes of humanity and technology. Initially polarizing, Blade Runner became a cult classic, influencing cyberpunk and neo-noir genres. Its visual design, inspired by Métal Hurlant and Edward Hopper, and Vangelis's score, are notable. Several versions exist, with Scott's Final Cut being the definitive one. The film's impact continues to be seen in subsequent science fiction works.

    CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

Blade Runner is based on the 1968 novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. The film is set in a dystopian Los Angeles in 2019, where bioengineered humans called replicants are hunted by "blade runners".

The movie's director, Ridley Scott, initially declined the project but joined after leaving the production of Dune, seeking a faster-paced project after his brother’s death. Scott’s vision was also influenced by the landscape of Hong Kong and the industrial areas of northeast England.

Harrison Ford, who played Rick Deckard, did not enjoy making Blade Runner and had friction with director Ridley Scott. Ford also disliked the voice-over narration that was added to the film.

After chasing a peaches and cream feral cat, with a mourning dove dangling from its mouth, through the yard, everything changes for Laura DiNunno.
Mourning the recent loss of her soul dog, and moving to upstate New York, she can’t seem to shake off the grief of pet loss and this little cat becomes a much-needed distraction.
What begins as innocently as throwing scraps of food out to a starving, and very pregnant, feral cat turns into feeding a small family of felines. But when tragedy strikes and two of the kittens die, the mother and her remaining babies are more vulnerable than ever. Now the broken-hearted human, who never cared for cats, finds herself in a “wild” relationship with them.
Filled with heart, and humor, this is the story of the ups and downs of a feral mom and her kittens, and the human they adopted, as they go from wild and struggling in an unforgiving landscape to mostly tame and living their best life inside.

He infiltrates Lhasa, the Tibetan city restricted from Westerners by penalty of death. And while he lives to tell the tale, his journey is not without sacrifice . . .Originally published in 1926, Hedin’s story of real-life adventure was a worldwide bestseller. It delighted audiences then and continues to do so.“A fascinating period piece as well as a nail-biting read.” —The Guardian
