Synopsis

I present to you my theory - Eli about the Sea Eye and the surrounding area. I cannot base it on any scientific facts or research, as none has been done to date. Perhaps even you, while walking through this forest, have not noticed the evidence of the existence of our ancestral homeland and the Sumerian culture. You don't have to travel to Egypt or other parts of the world, such as Easter Island,to do your research. Just make a trip to the Sea Eye in the Vihorlat forests. Into this theory I put my belief that Vinian Castle is built on top of a pyramid. Just look at this "hill" from a distance from any side of the world. In the case of this manifestation, I run the risk of complete ridicule of my work and also of my person. But these artifacts at the Sea Eye did not give me peace of mind for many years, until I had to sit down and work out this short theory. All else I leave to you. If you take a trip to this forest, you have the opportunity to judge everything for yourself.

The information in this ebook on various aspects of cats and dogs and related subjects is organized into 18 chapters of about 500-600 words each.

WINNER OF THE YALSA AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN NONFICTION FOR YOUNG ADULTS

Here are the shocking, yet true, stories of presidential medical cover-ups from the 19th to the 21st century—the latest thrilling title in award-winning author Gail Jarrow’s Medical Fiascoes series for readers ages 10 and up.

Did you know President Woodrow Wilson suffered a paralyzing stroke that his wife and doctors concealed for months? Or that Mrs. Wilson took total charge of his presidential duties? Neither did the American public. Did you know President John F. Kennedy suffered from Addison’s disease and was heavily medicated for years? Neither did most people. Too often when a president is sick or dying, he and the people around him have hidden his condition from the public, wanting to project an image of strength and power.

In this fascinating and provocative new installment in her acclaimed Medical Fiascoes series, author Gail Jarrow explores presidential cover-ups from the 19th to the 21st century—from James Garfield to Joe Biden. White House Secrets provides the historical context to help young readers understand issues of media literacy and presidential candor that are more relevant than ever in the 21st century.

"Well researched and succinctly written, each chapter tells a different tale based on secrets kept by presidents and those who wanted to protect them. An intriguing topic explored in compelling true stories."—Booklist

Are the snowy owls in trouble? Venture into the Alaskan arctic and the summer realm of these predator birds to find out. Discover the diverse species necessary to owl survival, how climate change is affecting the landscape of their nesting site of past millennia, and what it takes to do field research in this action-packed addition to the award-winning Scientists in the Field series.
It's July on Alaska's North Slope, and scientist Denver Holt is in Utqiagvik surveying nests. Denver has been coming here since 1992, and the snowy owls he studies have been coming here much longer: thousands of years.
With its mix of coastal, low-elevation tundra and a rich presence of lemmings, the North Slope is the only area in Alaska where snowy owls regularly nest. How do snowy owls decide where they will nest? How do they manage to arrive at locations where food will be abundant? What drives the success of these delicate tundra ecosystems? These are the mysteries Denver is trying to solve to help ensure a bright future for these elegant hunters.
