Synopsis

The descendants of converted Hindus to Islam and Christianity in present-day India have historical ties with their Hindu relatives. Religious conversions symbolize oppression, and the remnants of this oppression persist in the converted individuals and communities. Efforts to reintegrate them back into Hindu society began after Islamic invasions in 712 CE, with support from religious leaders, social activists, political figures, and the general public. These efforts, grounded in Hindu scriptures, continued persistently, leading to significant strides after India's political independence in 1947. This book provides concise insights into these purification efforts over a prolonged period, offering essential information about these endeavors. 
हिंदुस्थानातील सध्याचे मुस्लिम आणि ख्रिस्ती ऐतिहासिक काळी तुटलेल्या आपल्याच बांधवांचे वंशज आहेत.धर्मांतर हे दास्यतेचे लक्षण होय. धर्मांतरित व्यक्ती आणि समुदाय है ऐतिहासिक काळी लादण्यात आलेल्या दास्यतेचे अवशेष आहेत. धर्मांतरित बांधवांना स्वगृही आणून त्यांना मातृसमाजात आत्मसात करण्याचे प्रयत्न ७१२ साली झालेल्या हिंदुस्थानवरील इस्लामी आक्रमणानंतर लगेच सुरू झाले. आपल्या ऋषींनी ह्या प्रयत्नांना धर्मशास्त्राचा आधार दिला. आपल्यापासून तुटलेल्या बांधवांना आत्मसात करण्याचे प्रयत्न ऋणो, साधुसंत राजे महाराजे, धार्मिक-सामाजिक-राजकीय नेत्यांनी आणि सामान्य लोकांनी अथकपणे केले. सन १९४७ साली मिळालेले राजकीय स्वातंत्र्य आपल्या इतिहासातील महत्त्वाचा टप्पा होता. ह्या प्रदीर्घ कालखंडात झालेल्या शुद्धीकरणाच्या प्रयत्नांची वस्तुनिष्ठ माहिती ह्या पुस्तकात थोडक्यात दिलेली आहे.
