  النظريات مذاهب وأغراض، لا تعيش إلا على هامش الأدب، كما يعيش العَرَض على هامش الجوهر، أو كما يعيش الديكتاتور الزائل على هامش الأمة الأزلية.
  وقد تصح النظريات أو المذاهب في كتاب سياسي، أو وصية سياسية موجهة إلى شعب له أوضاعه الخاصة، وحدوده المقررة، وثقافته، وجنسيته؛ ولا تصح في شعر يعبر عن الحياة؛ فالحياة لا جنسية لها ولا أوضاع ولا حدود، وهي أوسع من أنْ نضع لها حدودًا ومقاييس، والدائرة الغير المحدودة لا تنحصر في الحدقة الضيقة.
  ليس للفكر حد ولا تخوم، فكيف نضع للحياة حدًّا وهي هدف الفكر؟! كيف نحدد هذه القوة المتحولة في اللانهاية، هذه القوة المجهولة؟!
