The world is populated by a hierarchal kingdom and animals that grow through photosynthesis. The sky rains gemstones and glass shards. At one dark night this special rain pours heavier than usual and rips apart an opening to reveal an extension of their world, exposing a neighbouring strange world that follows different rules, this revelation flips their beliefs about what is possible and impossible in the world, which instantly causes dramatic shifts in their own world.
