Lincoln's connection to black history may go much further than his role in slavery. In the 2001 book 'Black People and Their Place in History', historian Leroy Vaughn, alleges that Lincoln’s father was African American and his mother had Ethiopian ethnicity, both of which may have explained his “very dark skin and coarse hair.” The fact is his rivals campaigned using propaganda that depicted Lincoln as “Abraham Africanus the First,” an African man.It is claimed that Abraham Lincoln, who became America’s 16th President in 1860, was a Melungeon; a person of European, African-American and Native American ancestry. But beyond even that thoughtful historical proposition the late scholar Lerone Bennet Jr. sees America's most beloved president in a very different light to how he has been portrayed throughout time. Bennet hit a nerve in his research and writing on Lincoln. His book, 'Forced into Glory: Abraham Lincoln's White Dream', questions Lincoln's role as the "Great Emancipator". The work was described by one reviewer as a "flawed mirror." It was further criticized by historians of the Civil War period as faulty. In his introduction, Bennett wrote:"The idea of the book is simple: Everything you think you know about Lincoln and race is wrong. Every schoolchild, for example, knows the story of "the great emancipator" who freed Negroes with a stroke of the pen out of the goodness of his heart. The real Lincoln ... was a conservative politician who said repeatedly that he believed in white supremacy. Not only that: He opposed the basic principle of the Emancipation Proclamation until his death and was literally forced – Count Adam Gurowski said he was literally whipped – "into the glory of having issued the Emancipation Proclamation," which Lincoln drafted in such a way that it did not in and of itself free a single slave."Bennett's critics, including historians as well as political scientists, believe he ignores Lincoln's political and moral growth during the course

In this work, we embark on a journey of exploring and questioning traditional theories about habits, presenting an alternative perspective to that proposed by the author Charles Duhigg in his acclaimed book.Since the publication of "The Power of Habit," many readers have been inspired by Duhigg's ideas about how habits shape our lives and how we can transform them to achieve success and happiness. However, while we recognize the merit of your contributions, we also believe that it is essential to question and deepen the understanding of the complex mechanisms that govern our automatic behaviors. Our approach is not simply to challenge Duhigg's work for contesting. On the contrary, we seek to expand knowledge on the subject of habits and to provide readers with a more complete and refined view of how they are formed, how they are maintained and how they can be modified. Our goal is to go beyond the simplistic idea that all habits follow a pattern of trigger-routine-reward, highlighting that habits are much more complex than this formula. We will investigate the influence of the social and cultural context on the formation of habits, as well as the importance of self-awareness for the change of entrenched behaviours. As we dive into this journey, we will seek support in recent research on neuroscience, behavioral psychology and other relevant disciplines. We will be looking for a deeper understanding of the brain connections that support habits, as well as identifying effective strategies for the adoption and maintenance of positive habits.Throughout the next chapters, we invite you to reflect with us and question the established premises without fear of exploring new horizons. Our intention is to offer a complementary rather than competitive approach to Duhigg's work, providing readers with a comprehensive and grounded view of the habits that govern our lives. We hope that, at the end of this journey, you will feel empowered to understand better the mechanics of habits and to make conscious choices that lead you to a healthier, more productive and satisfying life. "What Rama says once he carries out; there is no looking back.” Rama to Kaikeyi “Only the timid and the weak leave things to destiny but the strong never bank on destiny or luck.” Lakshmana to Rama

The epic poem, by Maharishi Valmiki Muni, narrates the life of Lord Rama, a legendary prince of Ayodhya city in the kingdom of Kosala. The epic follows his fourteen-year exile to the forest urged by his father King Dasharatha, on the request of Rama's stepmother Kaikeyi. He traveled across forests in the Indian subcontinent with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana. Rama endured the kidnapping of Sita by Ravana – the demon king of Lanka, which resulted in a great war; and Rama's eventual return to Ayodhya to be crowned king amidst jubilation and celebration. The Ramayana is one of the ancient epics in world literature consisting of nearly 24,000 verses. It is considered to be the Adi-kavya (first poem) depicting the duties of relationships, portraying ideal characters like the ideal father, ideal servant, ideal brother, ideal husband and ideal king. The Ramayana was an important influence on later Sanskrit poetry and Vedic life and culture. There are many versions of Ramayana in Indian languages, besides Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain adaptations. There are also Cambodian (Reamker), Indonesian, Filipino, Thai (Ramakien), Lao, Burmese and Malay versions of the iconic tale.
