Sinopsis

Yeonwoo, a quiet and loyal omega, worked as the secretary to Keith Knight Pittman, a charismatic but reckless alpha from a powerful American family. Despite Keith's fiery temper, constant string of lovers, and difficult social circle, Yeonwoo endured it all for one reason—his unspoken love for Keith.

One fateful night, Yeonwoo finds himself trapped in a dangerous party full of hyper-dominant alphas, their overpowering pheromones leaving him vulnerable and shaken. After narrowly escaping their advances, he turns to Keith for help, only to be met with blame instead of support. Heartbroken, Yeonwoo quits. But just when he thought it was over, Keith appears at his door, willing to give anything to bring him back—anything except the one thing Yeonwoo truly wants: Keith himself.

“J.R. Jamison has written one of the most humane and challenging memoirs to come out of the Midwest. This is a perfect read to begin talking about all the conflicting, yet connected, issues forcing a reckoning for those who thought they knew what the world was, and who they were in it. Indeed, we are all more than heroes and villains, and Jamison does a great job of showing how and where our humanity gets lost between the two. I’m so glad I let him guide me through the trip.”-- Ashley C. Ford, author of "Somebody’s Daughter" and host of the HBO podcast "Lovecraft Country Radio"

J.R. Jamison spends his days in a world of trigger warnings and safe spaces, while his trigger-happy dad, Dave, spends his questioning why Americans have become so sensitive. Yet at the height of the 2016 election, the two decide to put political differences aside and travel together to rural Missouri for Dave’s fifty-five year class reunion. But with the constant backdrop of the Trump vs. Clinton battle at every turn, they are forced to explore one formidable question: Will the trip push them further apart or bring them closer together?

Dave has always accepted his gay son. J.R. must learn if he can accept his conservative-leaning dad. Traveling together through the rural, sun-beaten landscapes of Missouri, the two meet people along the way who challenge their concepts of right and wrong, and together they uncover truths about their family’s past that reveals more than political differences—they discover a lesson on the human condition that lands them on the international pages of The Guardian.

"Hillbilly Queer" is an enduring love story between a dad and son who find that sometimes the differences between us aren’t really that different at all.

Overthinking simple actions leads to overwhelming poems about what one can lean on if promised help doesn’t help
I Will Get Up Off Of is a book about trying to leave a chair. How does anyone ever leave a chair? There are so many muscles involved – so many tarot cards, coats, meds, McNuggets, and memes. In this book, poems are attempts and failures at movement as the speaker navigates her anxiety and depression in whatever way she can, looking for hope from social workers on Zoom, wellness influencers, and psychics alike. Eventually, the poems explode in frustration, splintering into various art forms as attempts at expression become more and more desperate. What is there to lean on when avenues promising help don’t help? Bell may want to #talk but does it want to listen? I Will Get Up Off Of explores the role art plays in survival and the hope that underlies every creative impulse.
"The voice of these poems moves like a magical fish trapped in a small square bowl, dazzlingly alive inside an almost annihilating constriction. These poems play a serious game in a tight space, caught in the looping limbo between intention — 'I will…' 'I will…', 'I will…'— and action. Simina Banu’s skill and humour animate every line and gesture within this inventive drama that begins '(I will get up off of) this monobloc but I’ve been sentenced…' Sentenced to form and to language, Banu gives us a mind thinking its way toward freedom." – Damian Rogers, author of Dear Leader

An unexpected collaboration between two authors that’s hot enough to spark a fire...
     Chase
After an excruciating loss, I’m desperate for a fresh start.
    Away from the painful memories.
Away from everyone I know and anyone who knows my story.
That’s how I end up in Eagle’s Landing, Pennsylvania.
As a bestselling author, my main reason for moving to a remote mountain cabin is to overcome the writer’s block that crushed my creativity for the past two years. My hope is to rediscover my words in the quiet, small town where no one knows me. Or my past.
A place where I can blend in enough that I become invisible.

    Rett
Even though Chase, one of my favorite authors, insists he wants to be left alone, I refuse to let him wallow in whatever’s drowning him.
As a local bookstore owner and author myself, I’m intrigued by the man who’s a master of the written word. Unfortunately, his social skills could use a lot of work.
Even so, I’m determined to pull the irritable and frustrating man out of the dark pit he’s fallen into and back to the surface, no matter how hard he fights it. I only hope dragging Chase down that fiery path just might reignite his spark and that I don’t get burned in the process.
Note: This is a slow-burn, emotional romance that deals with love after loss. Please check the content warning before reading or purchasing. Find it on my website here: https://www.jeannestjames.com/reignitingchase. This standalone has a guaranteed HEA, no cheating and no cliffhanger.

A landmark collection of poetry by acclaimed fiction writer, translator, and MacArthur Fellow John Keene, Punks: New & Selected Poems is a generous treasury in seven sections that spans decades and includes previously unpublished and brand new work. With depth and breadth, Punks
weaves together historic narratives of loss, lust, and love. The many voices that emerge in these poems—from historic Black personalities, both familial and famous, to the poet's friends and lovers in gay bars and bedrooms—form a cast of characters capable of addressing desire, oppression,
AIDS, and grief through sorrowful songs that "we sing as hard as we live." At home in countless poetic forms, Punks reconfirms John Keene as one of the most important voices in contemporary poetry.
