Beschreibung

On the eve of the 33rd anniversary of its publication, The Spiritual Event of the Twentieth Century remains an exceptional work. On the one hand, the author offers a pioneering, first-hand testimony of Rudolf Steiner's prophetic statements regarding the 'new Christ Revelation'. On the other, he presents his own findings, based on Imaginative consciousness, of 'the Spiritual Event of the Twentieth Century'. Ben-Aharon gives a unique account of events that took place in the spiritual world during the fateful twelve-year period from 1933 to 1945 – encompassing the rise to power of National Socialism and culminating in the end of the Second World War.
Through coming to a fully conscious understanding of this 'Spiritual Event', we can gain the courage needed to renew and enliven the spiritual science of anthroposophy as 'the universal human language of our age'. In addition to his description of the 'Century's Event', the author discusses 'The New Soul Faculties', 'The Relation Between Supersensible and Physical Events', 'The Rebirth of Anthroposophy since the End of the Twentieth Century' and 'Anthroposophy as the Living Language of the Present'. His words have a particular significance for the grouping of souls which the spiritual scientist Rudolf Steiner referred to as the 'Michael School'.
This third edition features a thoroughly revised and extended Preface, Introduction and auxiliary chapters – updated out of the signs of the present time.

At the present time the words “occult science” are apt to arouse the most varied feelings. Upon some people they work like a magic charm, like the announcement of something to which they feel attracted by the innermost powers of their soul; to others there is in the words something repellent, calling forth contempt, derision, or a compassionate smile. By many, occult science is looked upon as a lofty goal of human effort, the crown of all other knowledge and cognition; others, who are devoting themselves with the greatest earnestness and noble love of truth to that which appears to them true science, deem occult science mere idle dreaming and fantasy, in the same category with what is called superstition. To some, occult science is like a light without which life would be valueless; to others, it represents a spiritual danger, calculated to lead astray immature minds and weak souls, while between these two extremes is to be found every possible intermediate shade of opinion.

Theological and Devotional Reading of the Psalms through a New Testament Lens
The book of Psalms expresses our human experiences through its beautiful prose. But this Old Testament book is more than just relatable poetry—it reveals a rich theology of God, the nature and work of Jesus, and Christ's voice hidden in Scripture. The Psalms are the songs of the Son. But how can these songs point to Jesus if they were transcribed centuries before his life and death on the cross?
Songs of the Son explores 9 psalms cited in Hebrews. Each chapter focuses on a single psalm—exploring its role in the argument of the Hebrews, uncovering the psalm's central themes, and then reexamining the psalm through the lens of Hebrews' interpretation. Ultimately, readers will gain a better understanding of the Psalter and discover how all Scripture, including the Old Testament, reveals the preincarnate glory of Christ.

    - Biblical Study on Psalms: Examines the themes of the Psalms and how the Bible presents Jesus in the Psalter
    - Perfect for Small-Group Study: Contains short chapters and reflection questions that make it suitable for weekly Bible study
    - Format that Prompts Rereading: Each chapter looks at every psalm twice, allowing readers to fully grasp the meaning of the psalm through Hebrews's interpretive lens
    - Accessible: Written for everyday Christians who want to explore the book of Psalms on a deeper level

In the first century AD a religion was born: Christianity, with Jesus Christ head of the Church. Little evidence survives regarding the critical formative years, all from second-hand sources and mostly one man, Paul of Tarsus, who never physically walked with Jesus. The living narrative of Jesus’ life is in question. More in question is the message he gave.Historians are divided as to what Jesus said and did, and today many doubt the accuracy of the New Testament canon that Christians take as scripture. A wide divergence grows with coming of the modern age. Historians and scholars grotesquely disagree, a few believing Jesus never existed and to the other extreme of every word of the Bible being God’s inerrant word.“What Did Jesus Really Say?”, authoritatively answers these formerly unanswerable questions. Jesus taught of an inner world, and this very inner world can be tapped today for answering what the written record cannot reveal. Trusted inner sources are the key and were tapped for this book.It is a short read packed with informative material that will forever change present-day understanding of life and death and the beyond in all disciplines of modern thought, and bring clear resolution to the Jesus story.

From Birth to Resurrection in the Gospel of Luke

Jesus came to lift up the lowly. Throughout his ministry to his final days on the road to the cross, we find stories of his relationships with ordinary, flawed, and unexpected people. He met, dined, and traveled with people who were not perfect. Many of them were struggling, some were outsiders or even outlaws. Whoever they were, from those he healed to the outlaws with him at his crucifixion, Jesus brought the good news of God's kingdom to those who most needed to hear it.

In Luke: Jesus and the Outsiders, Outcasts, and Outlaws, pastor and bestselling author Adam Hamilton explores the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus as told in the Gospel of Luke. Through Luke's stories we find Jesus' care and compassion for all as he welcomes sinners and outcasts. As we study Luke and see Jesus' concern for those who were considered unimportant, we hear a hopeful and inspiring word for our lives today.
