NOT THE BOY FOR YOU is the story of a life deferred but not denied. In this deeply personal literary memoir, Angelo Robinson chronicles his journey to wholeness as a young Black gay man in America. NOT THE BOY FOR YOU is a voyage through imagination and secrecy to create a world free to accept, embrace, and love all of oneself, freed from the face of familial loyalty, societal mandates, gendered constructions, sexual boundaries, and Christian taboos. He takes on the intersection of sexuality and race and false, malicious declarations by some that Blackness does not include homosexuality because it is a behavior learned from Whites, a form of self-hatred, and traitorous to the African American community. NOT THE BOY FOR YOU grounds his story historically and culturally with research on the literary, cinematic, and photographic emergence and evolution of Black male homosexuality. This examination explores the complex and complicated reality of how the Black male body, though marginalized, has been fetishized which is central to the wider cultural production of homosexuality. NOT THE BOY FOR YOU is Robinson’s path to accepting and loving all of himself, with each step making him stronger and more empowered to confidently live out his race, gender, faith, and sexuality on his own terms—unapologetically. Angelo Robinson, PhD, is a native of Pensacola, Florida. After a successful ten-year career in Information Technology as a programmer analyst, Robinson earned a doctorate in English with a specialization in American Studies and a concentration in African American literature, culture, and history at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is currently an Associate Professor of English Emeritus at Goucher College. He has presented papers on James Baldwin regionally, nationally, and internationally, and published four journal articles on Baldwin’s fiction, as well as on issues of race, gender, and sexuality, and the neo-slave narrative genre. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland.

My Secret Life, the erotic autobiography of a wealthy Victorian English gentleman has been described as 'the strangest book ever written'. Comprising one-hundred-and-eighty-four chapters and over one million words, the epic confessional describes in eloquent and explicit detail the exploits of a man (who refers to himself simply as 'Walter'), whose life was devoted to the pursuit of erotic adventure and carnal pleasure.

Now for the first time in the history of this infamous erotic masterpiece, film composer Dominic Crawford Collins is producing a fully scored narration of the complete unabridged text. More 'audiofilm' than audiobook, each chapter and scene has its own unique musical accompaniment, reflecting the author's changing emotional landscape and offering the listener a truly immersive erotic audio experience.

These short, powerful chapters are filled with thought provoking nuggets of wisdom, and this book will change the way you look at our world. If you care at all about people and our planet, this eye opening book is for you!" --Todd Bentley, English Teacher (Mesquite High School)
America…was it all a dream? Home of the free. The place where everything is possible. This is how I was raised. Yet as I grew into adulthood and embarked on my journey to earn my piece of the American dream, I slowly realized that something was terribly wrong. But what?
I work hard, built a successful career, possess all the trappings of an American middle class success story, and yet I feel deeply disillusioned. As I look around, I realize most everyone I meet shares my disquieting sense of dread from experiencing our society and nation in decline. Where is this all heading?
Onward, At Last provides a deep exploration into the virtues that define our lives…freedom, independence, self-interest and competition, and asks the foundational question: What if our own defining virtues are actually the root cause of all that afflicts our society and ourselves? Onward, At Last presents a series of social commentaries that utilizes our shared experiences to examine what has gone so terribly wrong and what each of us can do to make it right.

If Crazy Rich Asians and a Greek tragedy had a literary offspring, it would be the spitting image of Why Should Guys Have All the Fun? The true story of resolute immigration lawyer and activist Loida Lewis, Why Should Guys Have All the Fun? begins with Loida's adventure-packed Philippine upbringing. A torrid love affair with brilliant, irascible financier Reginald Lewis follows, as does regal living in Manhattan and Paris, and gut-wrenching loss, all before Loida shockingly commandeers a multibillion-dollar, multinational conglomerate and leads it with aplomb.

You'll learn how she dealt with her husband's untimely death at the age of fifty and how she managed to raise two independent daughters even as she shepherded a multinational corporation to record earnings. Listeners will also find: explorations of how the author overcame her severe depression after the loss of her beloved husband; discussions of how faith and perseverance helped Loida overcome the myriad challenges and obstacles in her path; and how the author, a Filipina-American woman, navigated a business world dominated by hard-charging white males.

A fascinating and engaging memoir from one of America's leading female executives, Why Should Guys Have All the Fun? is an inspiring and uplifting true story of how an ordinary person can rise to achieve extraordinary things.

'Mark Shaw is the foremost analyst of organised crime in SA.' – Jonny Steinberg
At the dawn of the country's brave new democracy, Cape Town was at war. Pagad, which began as a community protest action against crime, had mutated into a sinister vigilante group wreaking death and destruction across the city. Between 1996 and 2001, there were hundreds of bomb blasts – most infamously at the Planet Hollywood restaurant at the V&A Waterfront – and countless targeted hits on druglords and gang bosses.
The police scrambled desperately to respond. The new ANC government was shaken. Citizens of Cape Town lived in fear. Who could save the city?
Mark Shaw tells the incredible tale of how former foes – struggle cadres and the apartheid security apparatus – pulled together to break the Pagad death squads. Out of this crisis emerged the elite law enforcement unit, the Scorpions.
It is a story that has never been told in full. Now many involved have broken their silence about this pivotal chapter in South Africa's history, which offers far-reaching lessons on how to deal with organised crime today.
