Beschreibung

Today, there is a live, breathing generation on the planet that is maturing into its destiny as a Glory (presence-based) Generation. They're a new wineskin that's been raised just for this occasion. They are preaching the Kingdom Gospel, healing the sick, casting out demonic spirits, reviving the dead, and creating disciples. They are motivated and energized by Christ's love and the overwhelming power of His Spirit. They are a generation that understands the benefits of living a life of glory.

The Lord's Glory is a concrete reality that every believer can experience. Another way of putting it is that the Lord's Presence is genuine! On Earth, like in Heaven, it is a palpable reality. Consider Exodus 33:10-14, which states that Moses prayed to the Lord, "And when the people saw the hazy pillar standing at the tabernacle door, they all got to their feet and worshipped, each man in his tent door. And the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as if he were speaking to a friend. And he returned to the tent; however, his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not leave the tabernacle. And Moses said to the LORD, "See, you say to me, "Bring up this people," and you haven't told me who you're going to send with me." Nonetheless, thou hast stated, "I recognize thee by name," and "thou hast also found grace in my eyes." Now, if I have found grace in thine eyes, shew me now thy path, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thine eyes: and consider that this country [is] thy people. And he said, "My presence will accompany thee..."

What a wonderful verse illustrating the Lord's tangible presence, which is not only available, but also the heritage and destiny of every believer. Everyone seen the Lord's Glory, heard it, and felt it with their physical senses. Everyone worshiped at the door of their tents because it was so beautiful and powerful. Entire families were present to experience the Lord's Glory and worship in His Presence. We can't accept anything less than the Lord's Glory in all aspects of life.

After surviving a trauma several years back, Remy Reed relocated to a cottage on one of Maine’s most remote islands. She’s arranged her life just the way she wants it, spending her time working on her wood sculptures and soaking in the beauty of nature. It’s quiet and solitary—until the day she spots something bobbing in the ocean.
Her binoculars reveal the “something” to be a man, and he’s struggling to keep his head above water. She races out to save him and brings him into her home. He’s injured, which doesn’t detract from his handsomeness nor make him any easier to bear. He acts like a duke who’s misplaced his dukedom . . . expensive tastes, lazy charm, bossy ideas.
Remy would love nothing more than to return him to his people, but he has no recollection of his life prior to the moment she rescued him. Though she’s not interested in relationships other than the safe ones she’s already established, she begins to realize that he’s coming to depend on her.
Who is he? What happened that landed him in the Atlantic Ocean? And why is she drawn to him more and more as time goes by?
There’s no way to discover those answers except to walk beside him down memory lane.
Travel to the rocky coast of Maine for "opposites attract" banter, witty humor, a fascinating mystery, and destiny-changing love. This sweet contemporary romance kicks off Becky Wade's new Sons of Scandal series!

In this beautifully illustrated guide, Alice Peck discusses what makes a place spiritual – whether reaches of time, geography, the provision of sustenance or inspiration, or mystery and magic – and then explores 80 such locations around the globe. Satan's transformation from opaque functionary to chief antagonist is one of the most striking features of the development of Jewish theology in the Second Temple Period and beyond. Once no more than an "accuser" testing members of the human community, Satan, along with his demons, is presented by Jewish apocalyptic texts and the New Testament as a main source of evil in the world. In Satan and the Problem of Evil, noted scholar Archie Wright explores this dynamic in both its historical and theological trajectories.

Interactions with Zoroastrianism led Jewish and Christian writers of the Second Temple Period to separate God from responsibility for evil in the world. This led to the emergence of a heavenly being that is responsible for evil and suffering: Satan. Satan and the Problem of Evil charts the development of Satan traditions and the problem of evil from the Hebrew Bible and its various translations in the Greek Septuagint to Jewish literature from the Second Temple Period to the Greek New Testament. It concludes by examining the writings of the early church theologians, from the late first century through the fourth century CE. Wright argues that these latter writers present a shift in the understanding of Satan to one that is significantly different from the Jewish Scriptures, extrabiblical Jewish literature, and the New Testament.
