Synopsis

Welsh folklore is rich and diverse, with stories and legends passed down through generations. One of the most famous figures in Welsh folklore is the fairy queen, known as the Tylwyth Teg. These fairy folk are said to be beautiful and mischievous beings who live in the hills and forests of Wales 
The legend of King Arthur is also deeply ingrained in Welsh folklore, with many stories and tales of his exploits set in Wales. The famous wizard Merlin is said to have been born in Wales, and many of the characters and locations from Arthurian legend have roots in Welsh folklore. 
Other common themes in Welsh folklore include tales of dragons, giants, and other mythical creatures, as well as stories of hidden treasure and haunted locations. Overall, Welsh folklore reflects the country's deep connection to its natural landscape and its rich history and traditions.
