Beschreibung

Can you believe what you see?
Let me ask you that another way. Can you really, unquestionably believe what you see?
Can you really, unquestionably believe that anything you have seen actually exists, even though you have touched it?
Bill Colbert thinks he inherited a field. Although this, in itself, is a surprise, more surprising is the manor house, five cottages and Trout stream that are all part of the inheritance.
Little did Bill realise that he inherited a nightmare. A nightmare that will make him question his own sanity.
Five cottages, all with rose bordered picture windows that hide the simplicity of the lives that live in those cottages.
Five cottages, all with secrets of their own.
Five secrets, hidden behind those rose bordered windows. Secrets that have been forgotten with the passage of time. Secrets that should be forgotten.
Dark secrets. Secrets that no one wants repeated.

Born in Sheffield in 1950 Bill is now retired and lives with Sheila, his wife of over fifty-three years. He has enjoyed a diverse life, fulfilling varied roles in the army, in employment and in retirement.
In 1966, at the age of 15½, he joined the army and enjoyed many overseas postings, with extended tours in Northern Ireland, France, Cyprus, Kenya, Iran, Bermuda and the USA. He culminated his Army career in 1977 as an instructor at his regiment’s depot.
After leaving the army, Bill has been employed as a surveyor, lecturer, technical adviser to an insurer and, just prior to retirement, as a self-employed health and safety consultant.
Bill is a published author and is also a published music composer and arranger.

    Their dance video—and their love—is about to go viral . . .

Dalton Cunningham has always been the comic relief in his family. And he's worried they may never see him as anything else, and that they might be right. It might be too late for his father to see Dalton prove himself as an adult capable of helping build the family business, but it's not too late to show his brothers and his mom.

His tool of choice? Social media. He's got the marketing down pat, and when he pulls in a classical dancer to build his brand, things really take off.

The problem? That dancer is Rae Trask, and she doesn't appreciate some goofy hot wine guy stealing her dance videos and making a mockery of them. She's busy trying to save her studio and her dream. Even though no one else seems to believe a dream is something to build a life around.

When Rae and Dalton combine forces, they set the app on fire, and find a little heat erupting between the two of them.

Can they work together to accomplish their goals? And will their spark burn into something much hotter?

The Virgin and the Gypsy is a novella by D.H. Lawrence, published posthumously in 1930. Set in the East Midlands of England shortly after World War I, the story revolves around two sisters, Yvette and Lucille, who return from finishing school to a stifling domestic life dominated by their blind, manipulative grandmother (referred to as "Mater") and their resentful Aunt Cissie. The narrative begins with the backdrop of their mother’s scandalous departure with a younger man, leaving their father, an Anglican vicar, emotionally paralyzed and unable to address the family’s shame.
As Yvette and Lucille navigate their oppressive environment, Yvette becomes increasingly disillusioned with the constraints of her life. While Lucille embraces flirtations with local men, Yvette feels trapped by societal expectations and yearns for freedom.Yvette's life changes dramatically when she encounters a handsome gypsy man during an outing. He represents everything she longs for—passion, vitality, and liberation from her mundane existence. This meeting awakens her sexual curiosity and desire for a more adventurous life.
