Beschreibung

After Dark by Wilkie Collins is a collection of six short stories by Wilkie Collins, first published in 1856. It was the author's first collection of short stories. Five of the stories were previously published in Household Words, a magazine edited by Charles Dickens.

At the beginning and end of the book are "Leaves from Leah's Diary": William Kerby, a travelling portrait-painter, is in danger of losing his sight, and is required by his doctor to cease painting for a while. His wife Leah realizes that destitution threatens. He is a good story-teller, and Leah has the idea of writing down his stories and publishing them.

Each story has a prologue, which was added to the original story that appeared in Household Words.

This collection of "sort-of" fairytales by new author Brad Grochowski combines classic story-telling with imaginative wit to create four stories that may very well become classics in their own right: - A young boy knows The Secret Weakness of Dragons. Before he can use this secret to banish the terrible dragon from his kingdom, however, he becomes best friends with the beast. He still has to get rid of it though, if he ever wants to move out of his mother's house! - Sarah Parance could have anything she ever wanted - all she had to do was imagine it, and it would come true. Until, that is, she decided she wanted True Love! - A brand new child robot records his last ten days before being introduced to the world outside of his room. He can only imagine how vast the world must be... - Moblos, the greatest story teller of all the tribes, tells how Eto the Trickster tricked the Two-leggeds into creating the world. A creation myth from the perspective of a primitive tribe . . . of rats.

Nesta Helen Webster (24 August 1876 - 16 May 1960) was a controversial historian, occultist, and author who revived conspiracy theories about the Illuminati. She argued that the secret society s members were occultists, plotting communist world domination, using the idea of a Jewish cabal, the Masons and Jesuits as a smokescreen.
According to her, their international subversion included the French Revolution, 1848 Revolution, the First World War, the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. In 1920, Webster was one of the contributing authors who wrote the The Jewish Peril, a series of articles in the London Morning Post, centered on the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. These articles were subsequently compiled and published in the same year, in book form under the title of the The Cause of World Unrest. She was cited respectfully by Winston Churchill, "This movement among the Jews...as Mrs. Webster, has so ably shown, [played] a definitely recognizable part in the tragedy of the French Revolution." I. Nowadays it's very easy to find negativity. Not only because there are more and more sources, but because negativity sales. Newspapers, TV, Radio, magazines, social media. Everywhere you turn you hear about natural disasters, murders, kidnappings, frauds. This makes it very difficult to have a positive attitude. Difficult but not impossible!
In this book, I'll show you tips and techniques that will increase your happiness level. We'll discuss common problems we face and give practical solutions to those problems.
Please note: for full happiness, you can't use just one or two of the tips from this book. You have to use as many as possible.
The whole book is designed in a way that you can get back to it at any given moment and re-read only a specific part you need to refresh.
The best part is that I have lived through (and still living) all the things mentioned in the book. I don't reproduce a book I read in the past. Instead, I give you my actual techniques for a happy life. Techniques that you can apply straight after you finish a chapter.
Put together educational content written in an easy-to-understand way, add practical examples, answers to common problems, and you'll get a fantastic read!
    To your success
