A British soldier recounts his experience maintaining surveillance towers in Northern Ireland during The Troubles in this candid military memoir. Making unprecedented use of electronic surveillance, the Special Air Service and other British assault units were dependent on information provided by a network of towers and other devices. Construction and maintenance of the towers was the job of the British Army’s Royal Corps of Signals. The author and his fellow troopers of the R. Sigs had to climb and work on the electronic towers in full view of an often hostile population—and occasionally under fire. This is the gripping insider story of the tension, fear, and comradeship of these specialists, who needed more than just a head for heights. Jack Williams’s account adds a previously little-known dimension to our understanding of the campaign in Northern Ireland and provides a first-hand account of previously unknown operations and techniques.

This is the story of Alex James’s transition from a leading light of the Britpop movement in the 1990s, to gentleman farmer, artisan cheese-maker and father of five.
All Cheeses Great and Small is the follow-up memoir to Alex James's first book, Bit of a Blur, the story of his excessive pop star lifestyle during the nineties. But now Alex has grown up, fallen in love and got married. He has also fallen passionately for his new home, an enormous rambling farmhouse in the Cotswolds, set in two hundred acres of beautiful British countryside.
The farm represents not just a new house for Alex, but also a new career. As he breathes new life into the old farm he chances across an unexpected calling: making cheese. His cheeses, Blue Monday, Farleigh Wallop and Little Wallop have received widespread media interest and are now sold through many outlets.
The story culminates with an account of the triumphant reformation of Blur for Glastonbury 2009. It will also include illustrations by Graham Coxon.
As a Sunday Times bestselling author, Alex James's transition from music to cheese-making is not just a biography, but an autobiography that captures the essence of his journey. His bestselling book, All Cheeses Great and Small, is a testament to his passion and dedication.
For fans of David Nolan (Damon Albarn), Will Sergeant (Echoes), Elton John (Watford Forever), Peter Hook (Substance), and Kevin Cummins (Telling Stories).

War is uncomfortable for Christians, and worldwide war is unfamiliar for today's generations. Jim Downing reflects on his illustrious military career, including his experience during the bombing of Pearl Harbor, to show how we can be people of faith during troubled times.
The natural human impulse is to run from attack. Jim Downing—along with countless other soldiers and sailors at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941—ran toward it, fighting to rescue his fellow navy men, to protect loved ones and civilians on the island, and to find the redemptive path forward from a devastating war. We are protected from war these days, but there was a time when war was very present in our lives, and in The Other Side of Infamy we learn from a veteran of Pearl Harbor and World War II what it means to follow Jesus into and through every danger, toil, and snare.

The little-known, real-life account of a Canadian hero’s courage and loyalty in the face of Nazi Germany’s greatest horrors during World War II. On the night of 27/28 April 1944, Teddy Blenkinsop and his crew were acting as deputy master bombers during a Pathfinder raid on Montzen in Belgium. After a successful attack, their Lancaster was shot down. Miraculously he survived to be protected by Belgian citizens before ending his days in Bergen Belsen concentration camp. Little was known of his exploits in between until Peter Celis, a Belgian air-force officer, began to research the story. What he uncovered is far more amazing than any fictional film could be. He found that Blenkinsop was not only an exceptional and gallant operational pilot, but that his loyalty, dedication and devotion were second to none and that his bravery and fearlessness led him to make the supreme sacrifice in the face of Nazi Germany. Written with pace and insight, this is an uplifting account of an outstanding young man who very nearly made it back home.
