"విముక్త" టైటిల్ చూడగానే ఎక్కడో ఒక మహిళా కోణంలో రాసినట్టుగా అనిపిస్తుంది. ఈ పుస్తకంలో రాసిన కథల్లో పాత్రలన్నీ కొత్తవి కాదు. సీత, అహల్య, శూర్పనఖ ఇలా అంతా మనకు తెలిసిన పాత్రలే. అయితే ఇక్కడ మాత్రం ఈ పాత్రలన్నీ ఒక కొత్త కోణంలో కనిపిస్తాయి. ఆత్మాభిమాన ప్రకటణతో పితృస్వామ్య భావజాలాన్ని ఎత్తి చూపుతూ మాట్లాడతాయి. ఇవన్నీ మూల గ్రంథాలలోని స్త్రీ పాత్రల స్వభావాన్ని వ్యతిరేకించినట్టుగా అనిపించినా.. లోతుగా ఆలోచిస్తే అర్థమయ్యే విషయం మాత్రం ఒక్కటే స్త్రీ ని అణచి ఉంచటాని ఉధాహరణగా రాసిన పురాణ పాత్రలని గర్వంగా తలేత్తుకునే స్వాభిమానం ఉన్న పాత్రలుగా మార్చారు రచయిత్రి ఓల్గా... పుస్తకం చదివాక ఇలాంటి రచనలు చాలా అవసరం అనిపించక మానదు. ఈ పుస్తకానికి గాత్రం రచయిత్రి ఓల్గా గారే ఇచ్చారు.
