Synopsis

సినిమా తీయటం ఒక ఆర్ట్... అదే విధంగా సినిమా చూడటం కూడా ఆర్ట్ అనే అనుకోవాలి. సినిమా చూడటం అనే ప్రక్రియ ఒక పగటికల కనటం లాంటిది. దర్శకుడు చెప్పాలనుకున్న విషయాన్ని ఎంత కవితాత్మకంగా చెప్పాడో, ఎంత లోతైన అర్థంతో ఒక షాట్ డిజైన్ చేసాడో తెలియకపోతే ఆ సినిమా పూర్తిగా అర్థం కాదు.. కొన్ని సినిమాలకి ప్రాంతం, భాష, టైం పీరియడ్ లాంటి వాటితో సంబంధం ఉండదు. ప్రపంచంలో ఏ మూలన ఏ భాషకి చెందిన మనిషైనా ఆ సినిమా తనకు సంబంధించినదే అనుకొని అనుభూతి చెందుతాడు. అలాంటి సినిమాల్లో కొన్ని అత్యద్భుతమైన సినిమాలని తనదైనశైలిలో పరిచయం చేసాడు వెంకట్ సిద్దారెడ్డి. చైనీస్, జాపనీస్, రష్యన్, ఇరాన్, తెలుగు ఇలా ప్రపంచంలో ఎన్నో భాషలకు చెందిన దర్శకులని పరిచయం చేస్తూ మనసుకు హత్తుకునేలా రాసిన పుస్తకం సినిమా ఒక ఆల్కెమీ. సినిమా కథ చెబుతూనే ఉత్తమ సినిమాకి కావాల్సిన ఎన్నో అంశాలని వివరించటం, ఫిలాసఫీతో కలిపి కథని వివరించటం వల్ల పుస్తకం ఆసాంతం పూర్తిగా అనుభూతించిన ఫీల్ కలుగుతుంది. కొన్ని సినిమాలు చూడటానికే కాదు ఇలా పుస్తకంగా చదవటానికి కూడా బావుంటాయి.
