Synopsis

The "Tanakh & Talmud" serves as a foundational text, weaving together the core of Jewish religious literature through its intricate narratives and legal discourses. The Tanakh, encompassing the Torah, Prophets, and Writings, presents a rich tapestry of history, theology, and ethics, while the Talmud offers a complex framework of interpretation and commentary on these scriptures. This unique collection not only highlights the literary diversity within Jewish tradition but also captures the dialectical method of Jewish scholarship, inviting readers to engage with profound philosophical and moral questions that bear relevance across centuries. Developed by various authors, the compilation reflects centuries of rabbinical interpretation and Jewish thought, revealing how historical context, culture, and communal experiences shaped religious practices and understandings. These texts echo the voices of sages and scholars who sought to transmit wisdom and engage with existential dilemmas, ensuring the continuity of Jewish identity through tumultuous historical shifts. Readers seeking to deepen their understanding of Jewish spirituality, ethics, and communal discourse will find "Tanakh & Talmud" an indispensable resource. This compilation not only opens a window into the rich heritage of Jewish thought but also encourages modern reflection on its timeless teachings, making it a vital addition to any scholarly collection.

The Bhagavat Gita is one of the main religious literature in the Hindu way of life. It contains about 700 verses divided into 18 cantos. It is the essence of the philosophy contained in the Upanishads and is a part of the Mahabharata which describes the story of the Pandavas and the Kouravas. The development of the various incidents in the life of the Pandavas and the Kouravas ultimately leads to the war in Kurukshetra wherein the Pandavas finally win the battle.
When Arjuna, the great warrior of the Pandava brothers sees the Kourava army in the battlefield, he is overwhelmed with concern because they are all his kinsmen. He gets terrified. Not because of fear of battle but because of emotions. Krishna who is the incarnation of the Almighty God was acting as his charioteer. Arjuna tells Krishna, ‘My limbs give way. My mouth is getting parched. I feel shaky. My bow slips from my hand. My skin burns all over. My mind is whirling as though I cannot hold on to myself. I see evil portends.’
A conversation ensues between Krishna and Arjuna and this conversation is the Bhagawat Gita.
This audio book is primarily a recitation of the verses of the Gita. A brief synopsis of each canto is also given before its actual recitation. I am simultaneously publishing this also as a book which will be available in the market place of major booksellers.
This audio book is divided into three sections, each containing six cantos. This is the first section containing cantos 1 to 6.

    Maryland, 1776
Prosper Creale has enough to deal with in wrenching enough out of his farm to keep his family fed and healthy in the face of the disruptions of the American Revolution. Then God speaks to him, and the radical teachings of a traveling preacher lead him to join in the nascent abolitionist movement, a path that could lead to destruction… or salvation.
The Word takes us to Maryland as part of the Tales From a Revolution series, in which each standalone novel examines the American War of Independence as it unfolded in a different colony. If you like stories of the many revolutionary ideas that fueled the Revolution, you’ll love The Word.
Narrated by Shamaan Casey, whose baritone has been compared to James Earl Jones, this unabridged audio production brings both the everyday and exceptional moments of The Word to life.
Listen to The Word today and hear for yourself how the Revolution was much more than just a war between military forces!
